Network Marketing is a proven business system, which has been in existence since the 1940’s. Income is generated in two ways - through personal sales and bonus earned from team building. In conventional sales companies area directors or managers will often earn a bonus dependant on how well salesmen in their team perform. In Network Marketing one builds a team and earns a bonus in a similar way.
There are two vital differences. In Network Marketing each person is independent. It is possible for someone to earn more than the person who has introduced or sponsored them into the business. This means that the essential skills needed are those involved in working with and motivating people. No one should be brought into the business and then left to his own devices.
If you find a good network marketing company to work with it should offer the following: a low initial financial investment (usually refundable); a marketing plan that allows you to overtake your sponsor in earnings and business development; a repeat sales product; basic bonus structure plus additional profit sharing; support and training. The latter is often provided by local distributors and may therefore vary in quality. Nevertheless the company should be behind the training.
Do not make the mistake of thinking that earning a living in this way is easy. It is usually not hard to generate a moderate part time income and the financial outlay is modest. To reach high income levels demands persistence and dedication. It is possible however. In the long term such a business may offer you residual income that can effectively act as a pension.
If the idea of having your own business appeals to you, this may well be an avenue to explore. Do expect whoever you are dealing with in the industry to answer all your questions. If they put pressure on you, be very wary. However remember also that this may be due to the human imperfections of that individual and it may not reflect on that particular company.
