Most Spanish tourist offices abroad, including
that in London, carry information sheets, which while pretty basic,
include some useful addresses for disabled travellers, together
with details of accessible accommodation throughout the country.
More specifically, in Andalucia, wheelchair accessibility is
improving and all new public buildings are now required to have
wheelchair access. However, it remains comparatively rare in cheaper
accommodation, although several of the province's youth hostels,
including Cordoba and Cazorla, have rooms adapted to the disabled.
Senior Travelers
Many museums, art galleries, and historic buildings, in general,
have reduced prices for people over 60, and some of the luxurious
paradores also offer discounts for senior citizens, however obviously
some sort of proof of age, such as a passport, is necessary.
