The Museo Arqueológico, a neo-renaissance building constructed for the 1929 Latin American Expo, has displays of prehistoric, Roman and Moorish art. One of the most important exhibits is the Carambolo Treasure, highly decorated gold and ceramic jewellery dating from the 5th century.

The 16th-century Convento de los Remedios now houses the Museo de Carruajes which has many examples of old horse-drawn carriages which were used in the town and in the country, and also other related exhibits including paintings and photographs.
