Opening hours at the towns historical and cultural sites are as follows……

The Archeological Museum “Cueva Siete Palaciosm”, the San Miguel Castle and the Museo Historico are open daily from 10.30 to 13.30 and from 16.00 to 18.30. Entry for adults is 1.95 Euros and for children and senior citizens 1.35 Euros.

The “Loro Sexi” Ornithological Park is open from 11.00 to 14.00 and from 16.00 to 18.00. Entry for adults is 1.95 Euros and for children and senior citizens 1.35 Euros.

Almuñecar Castle’s Pottery the town’s last existing pottery, adds to the many historic sites in the San Miguel area and the preservation of the tradition of Almuñecar’s pottery, as well as providing a tourist attraction”. The Alfareria del Castillo is open Monday to Friday from 11.30 to 14.00 and from 16.00 to 19.00 with local potter Antonio Fernandez in attendance. It still makes the famous fish and chicken shaped pots and other objects similar to those found in archaeological excavations as well as providing visitors with a magnificent view of “El Majuelo” botanical park. Entrance is free.
