Science in Sevilla (Semana de la Ciencia)
November 9 to 22, 2009

It's called Science Week, but it actually runs two weeks and includes loads of science flicks as well as theatre, exhibitions and conferences with titles like "Fungus in Nature and Human Beings. If you're still working on your Spanish, this will give you plenty of opportunities as it is not geared towards the casual tourist. It's all happening at the Casa de la Ciencia located on Avenida de María Luisa at the Pabelloón de Perú in Seville. Berlín's Chamber Orchestra in Jeréz de la Frontera

Children's Stories at MIMMA, Málaga

Málaga's Interactive Music Museum (Museo Interactivo de la Música, Málaga: MIMMA) is hosting regular story telling for children on Saturday's at noon. The museum is located under the Plaza de la Marina near Málaga's well known Calle Larios. For more information, ring 952 21 04 40.

Música con Encanto, Marbella

The Over 50's Show returns to Estepona the last weekend of November 2009. Organiser Des Duggan rated the 2008 Over 50’s show as a smashing success.

The "Música con Encanto" concerts in Marbella have become very popular with excellent musicians performing in enchanting buildings for maximum ambience. Now this is a treat, world-renowned Japanese pianist Ryuichi Sakamoto will be in concert at Jaen's Teatro Nuevo Infanta Leonor. Be sure to purchase your tickets in advance at the Corte Inglés.

Scandinavian encounters at parque miramar shopping centre

  • Swedish Weekend 20-21st November
  • Finnish Weekend 27-28th November

The two weekends will see Christmas celebrated in typical Scandinavian style. Santa Claus, concerts, processions, gastronomy, a Christmas market and version original movies. Typical Scandinavian games for children and local schools will take part.
