There a many services operating out of this Train Station. Long distance services from Granada are provided by Altaria, Arco and Tren Hotel. Medium Distance trains tracel across Andalucia from Granada.Cercania trains serve Granadas localities and towns within Granada Province. Granada is linked by train to:
- Almeria
- Algeciras
- Madrid (via Linares-Baeza)
- Barcelona
- Malaga
- Sevilla.
Granada trains are usually on time, but be prepared for delays. Intercity trains are usually punctual.
Cercania
Cercania trains make stops in Granada's provincial towns: Loja, Guadix, Iznalloz and Moreda. There are not very many stops around Granada province due to the Mountainous terrain, it is not cost effective to buil numerous tracks, therefore Granada's suburban rail network is not well developed. As such it is advisable to travel by bus around these areas.

Buying Tickets
There are three ways to buy tickets for rail travel in Granada.
Online, at www.renfe.es - there is a discount of 60% when you book online, minimum 15 prior to the journey. This offer has limited places and is designed specifically for tourists. It is available on Larga Distancia high speed trains only. You cannot make changes to the booking once you have purchased the ticket, any cancelation will cost you 50% of the ticket price.
The ticket office in the station - it is possible to pay by credit or debit card, make sure you arrive with plenty of time to purchase tickets at the station; there may be queues.
Travel agents - you can buy Granada train tickets from a travel agent, however, they will charge a small commission.
