Live to Learn and Learn to Live with U3A Costa del Sol

The U3A is a worldwide, non-profit making movement with the aim of promoting learning for enjoyment and personal fulfilment amongst mature people. No qualifications are required or awarded. Informal study groups are led by members who have volunteered to share their particular interests or expertise with other members. It is run by members for members and the Group Leaders are volunteers who share their interests and expertise with others. The Costa del Sol U3A was established in 1997 and has a membership of almost 300.

The Costa del Sol branches of the U3A in Fuengirola and Marbella organize courses from October to May in a wide variety of subjects. OCTOBER 2013 UPDATE

U3A resumes this month with 40 different groups, covering Science and Technology, the Arts, History and Spanish at all levels as well as physical activities including Table Tennis, Jive and Walking in Andalucia. Social activities include visits to Malaga Museums and a weekly Sunday coffee morning, together with monthly lectures on a range of topics.

They welcome new members who can join at any time by visiting the U3A information desk, open from 11.00 to 12.30 every Friday at The Ark Christian Fellowship Hall, Las Rampas, Fuengirola from now until 13th December, re opening 10th January to 14th March 2014.

The annual subscription is only 25€ from October to May or 15€ from January to May and entitles members to participate in as many groups as they like, subject to availability.
