Laguna de Zoņar
Located to the south of Aguilar, not from the C329 in the direction of Puente
Genil is this natural lagoon. Covering an area of approximately
70 hectares with a depth of 16 metres, the lagoon is fed by an underground
spring and is unusual in that it is surrounded by a comparatively
arid landscape. The lagoon is an important breeding and migratory
ground for water-fowl, in particular the white-headed duck and is
surrounded and protected by reeds and bull-rushes.
