20th Anniversary event 

Andalucia.com, the most highly visited and longest established website about southern Spain, celebrated its 20th anniversary on 17th April 2016. The anniversary was marked by a  Media day with a 'Treasure Hunt' in Estepona and Casares

This is the treasure hunt through the the old town of Estepona, which was created to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Andalucia.com

You can do it yourself. Divide you party into groups and give each team a name.

Starting point Cafe Vitin in the Plaza de los Flores.

All answers can be found in the street except those with a *
Each question and task one point unless otherwise stated.
This treasure hunt should take about one hour.

Question 1 What is the name of the building that houses the ‘Delegacion Juventud' and tourist office?

Task 2 During the course of the walk, take a selfie photo of your team next to a flowerpot of your team colour and email a copy (for the point) to 20years@andalucia.com and we will post on our facebook page and post the same photo on twitter or Instagram with hashtag #20andaluciacom

Follow the yellow plant pots into another square with a fountain.

Question 3 What are the four instruments that four nymphs of the fountain are playing? (4 points)

Question 4 What creature sits on the door knob of the bar with the painted bougainvillea?

Follow the turquoise plant pots.

*Question A What is the name of the actress with the gun in the poster for the La Bandolera bar?
(Curiosity question, no point, as answer is unknown - not even by bar owner)

Task 5 Take a beautiful picture postcard photo of the church bell tower and the steps and email a copy (for the point) to 20years@andalucia.com and we will post on our facebook page and post the same photo on twitter or Instagram with hashtag #20andaluciacom

Task 11 Pause for thirty seconds to listen to the fountain in Plaza Santa Ana.

Follow up the street with the blue flowerpots.

Question 12 How many people in the ceramic on number 20?

Follow the dark red flowerpots and then the green flowerpots.

Question 13 Under the flags, what year was the building of the present Archaeological Museum built?

Task 14 Take a deep breath under the tree in the square.

Question 15 What century was the clock tower constructed?

Descend the steps to the street of the purple/wine coloured flowerpots.

Question 17 How many people are there in total in the Aprona 2006 ceramic murals?

Question 18 What is the name of the small passage down the side of Castillo San Luis?
Enter the street of the terracotta flowerpots but don't go down it.

Question 19 How long did José Alvárez de la Vega live?

Follow down the street with the green and white spotty flowerpots. At the end of the street with the red and red and white spotty flowerpots, turn left and go up the street with the pink flowerpots.

Turn into the little square and follow the street of the green flowerpots.

*Question 20 Where can you eat an Antonio Banderas fillet steak?

*Question 21 In what year did the Malaga actor eat here with his then wife Melanie Griffiths?

Continue to walk down the street with the green plant pots and turn into the street with the blue
flowerpots.

Question 22 How many hanging all blue plant pots are there in the entire length of this street?

Follow more blue flowerpots on a side street into a square with a water feature.

Question 23 What is the year of construction of the old Casa Andalucía?

Question 24 What is the role of the two strong men featured in the bronze statue?

Question 25 What is the colour of the tail or fin of the mozaic male mermaid?
