Re: First Bra

What a stupid question. Your a parent, do you really need to ask this. Yes I am a parent. When girls develop, I googled that they should have a specialist measure them to ensure they develop correctly, bras can be quite a difficult thing when you are just 9 years old. I was wondering if there were ...

First Bra

My little girl is developing at an alarming rate. Any mums (or cool dads) have any advice about where to go in the Malaga area to have good service when buying a first bra for her? Many thanks.

Re: Family with 2 small kids searching new life in Andalucia

Hi, we took a complete punt and came here 18 months ago, our children were 6 and 8 at the time. We literally looked on the web and found a place which looked nice, wasn't too touristy, close to Malaga airport and railway and activities for the children. We haven't once regretted our decision. We are...

Re: How Many ? 10, 20 ,30 ..More ..?

We have seen 80 houses in just over one year. We have been unlucky because the one and only house which ticked all the boxes turned out to be totally illegal, as have most of the houses we have viewed.

Re: Pink Water

Thanks for the responses. The water is still slightly pink today, we emptied our tank and filled it again. We are in a strange position as we are renting short term and our landlord is away on honeymoon. I think the water comes in by a pump from a well which I have been told is town water and we tha...

Pink Water

Has anyone experienced pink water coming out of their taps? Our water is a very pale pink colour. I have googled and searched on here but apart from pigs blood or potassium permanganate, there's not much info about it. Thanks

Re: Horse Riding in Ronda

Maybe you should have asked when you were there? Thank for your valued input, do you actually search the forum for posts that you can reply with unhelpful and useless comments? You must have a fun life! There was noone obvious around to ask, we had two small children with us so we didn´t want to dr...

Horse Riding in Ronda

Hi, does anyone know if the Riding Centre in the Bull Ring in Ronda offers riding lessons or clinics for children. We were there today and it looks amazing but we couldn´t seen any info on it.
Many thanks, Tracy

Water Deposit

We are looking at a house in a very beautiful location near Cartama. The house itself is very old and there is no swimming pool. We are interested in buying it but have doing some research into using a disused water deposit which is on the land as a swimming pool. Has anyone ever done this? The esta...

Walnut trees

Does anyone know if the walnut trees that grow here are the same as the californian black walnut trees? I have googled the subject and have read that the californian trees were introduced by the Spanish. I want to make a natural cleanser using the black walnut tree hulls if so, instead of buying it....

Re: Someone to look after our dogs?

Hi yes, thanks for the input. We looked at two kennels with excellent facilities and, of course, you pay for what you get! So instead of paying 1000 Euros on kennels we are considering taking them with us. We actually have three dogs and the older is very quiet and likes to travel, but we are having...

Someone to look after our dogs?

Hi there, We are in Alora and we are thinking about looking for someone to look after our two fantastic dogs for two months during the summer, they are a cross between a welsh border collie and a golden retriever and they are super soft. We want to travel around Spain and we don't think they would e...

Re: Children's Shoes/Boots

Hey thanks for that, I have seen the shop in Malaga and will call in when I'm there next. They need new shoes to go back to school (after both pairs of boots finally bit the dust!). One thing I do miss is the shopping in the UK, especially for the children, it's not quite the same here, but I'm not ...

Children's Shoes/Boots

We've been living here for four months now and we've really settled, but I am soooo missing Clarks Shoes!! I bought new boots for my two girls in a shop in Alora and one of the pair came apart after a month and the other pair are on the way to disintegrating, I paid over 80 euros for the two pairs w...

Re: Advice please.

From a female perspective over £400 is a lot to spend on a tablet, but you asked for advice on which tablet is the best and it goes without saying that an ipad is the best on the market and you don't have to be a techie to know this (although it helps if you have an office full of geeks working for ...

Wow, i did not know about onions, and shes been having leftover lasagne for years with onions. I will be careful from now on, thanks. Re: Home Made Dog Food

Thats great thanks for the advice. I just thought burger mince from the supermarket and rice as this appears to be the ingredients in the shop bought dried food (plus by-products of animals). I have been frying onion, garlic and a handful of frozen mixed veg and adding this to the fried mince and co...
