Re: Thinking of buying in Andalucia...

Theres no indoor market in nerja. Outside one on tues With your experience you would have thought you would be the first person you would go to. Dont really see the point buying something as a young person if you are lucky enough to have that sort of cash lieing around. Normally they end buying some...

Re: Thinking of buying in Andalucia...

Well said as always gordon. Most important thing to me is to visit at different times of year and at different times of day. Go as many times as you can if you find somewhere you like.

Re: Spanish Capital Gains tax on UK property

Agree with cid. We are in the same boat. Talked to our gestor and she confirmed what cid and others have said. We own and rent out our home in the uk which pays the rent for living full time here. if we sold the uk property we would get clobbered for CGT even though we own a box standard semi in the...

Re: PICKING UP PEOPLE AT MALAGA AIRPORT

The walkways are on the otherside. Where the drop off 15 min carpark is but on the otherside furthest away from departures.

Always makes me laugh with them parking up warning lights on. If that were the uk they would have cameras every where and big fat fines would arriving in the post any day now!

Re: PICKING UP PEOPLE AT MALAGA AIRPORT

Been there twice in the last couple of weeks. Upto the third floor both times. Sick of all the tight ass bar stewards who are parking on the approach road because they wont pay a couple of euros to go in the carpark. i could make a fortune with a wheel clamp!! The walk seems to take forever even wit...

Re: Moving to UK-

So cid. You declare everything for 2018 on your spanish return the following year but there is also a section on the form where you can ask to claim back the euro equivilant of the tax you paid in the uk during nov and dec?

Re: Moving to UK-

For those who have moved back or for anyone who knows the answer. Off setting is talked about when paying income tax and depending on when you return to the uk can make it easier.ie move at the end of the spanish tax year. But how do you actually off set it? If for example i move to the U.K on Nov 1...

Re: Health care in Spain

I doubt it. Healthcare is supposed to be free for all legal residents already. its the INSS who refuse to except aplications for it and refuse people their rights. This new law appears to be more based around undocumented "sin papel" as eu residents come under something different.

Re: La Cala del Moral Beach front restaurants/bars

When we go to la cala we park around supersol. If you had kept going past the main square on the road infront of it literally for a couple of mins in the car supersol is on the left at the roundabout where theres a carpark or street parking next to the church.you then cross over the road there and w...

Re: ITV Sticker

I think us expats with our holiday homes in the sun are far more likely to get a ticket for a petty offense than a Spanish geezer going around in an old banger. Whether we have wealth or not the perception is there in the eyes of the Spanish, it's just the way it is and i do not personally have a p...

Re: buying a new car now requires registerinng on padron?

Legally i dont believe they require a padron. Only proof of address like bills etc. But most seem to ask for the padron as its the obvious thing not realising alot of buyers maybe second home owners from overseas.
Nie and rental contract/ownership here to get the padron

Just go to the local hospital. Most places dont have seperate surgeries like the uk. The drs work out of the local urgencia or ambulatorio
