Possible train strike 18 December

We just tried to buy a train ticket for 18 December from Seville to Malaga and couldn't because there may be a strike that day. Just to advise those who've already bought their ticket or are intending to buy one at the station to keep their eye on the situation.

Re: Wi Fi signal booster

I'm having problems connecting my Extender so I phoned Jazztel and they don't support it so have to get the settings from Netgear. Word of warning - if you're with Jazztel get your extender through them (apparently its cheaper too - €25).

Builder's Merchant in Fuenteheridos Area, Aracena

Hi

Does anyone know a Builder's Merchant in Fuenteheridos area apart from San Blas, please? We're sick of how San Blas treat you when you go in for small amounts - and the lorry can't deliver to our street so we have to buy small amounts!

Thanks all

Liz

Re: Form S1 Translation

I guess that if you live in a place where they are used to Brits you'll be fine. Here in Seville there aren't so many so our form is unusual to the authorities. Good luck.

Re: Form S1 Translation

Thanks for your comments. I got it sorted in the end. Someone on another forum came back immediately and advised me to take the Spanish version of the S1 for them to use as a translation as they both have the same wording. Couldn't get back on here to tell other people who may have been in the same ...

IS EX-18 the correct form?

I want a medical card for my retired mother who is living here in Seville with me. She receives her UK pension. In order to get the medical card, I need Residencia for her. The office in Plaza de España where I apply for the Residencia has given me an EX-18 form. Is that the right form for a retired...

Form S1 Translation

Has anyone else been told that they have to pay for an official translation of Form S1 into Spanish before they can submit it? It's for my retired mum.

Re: International Schools in Sevilla

You could look at living at Los Bermejales - it is a very nice area and not too far from Los Remedios, then there is Colegio Alminar in La Motilla, Dos Hermanas. http://www.alminar.es/ ...and have you checked out San Francisco de Paula? http://www.sfpaula.com/Introduction_a692.html http://www.colegi...

Gibraltar Currency

So has something changed in Gib or have we just been lucky in the past? We usually shop in Gib and I'm sure that when we've withdrawn money it's been UK sterling! However, after our Xmas 2012 trip to Gib I was left with 30 quid in Gibraltar notes and I just assumed that they'd change it for me at a ...

Bulbs seem really expensive here. Do you have to pay 50p each in the UK?

Don't forget you're looking for Spanish people wanting to learn English - why use an expat website?

Re: TEACHING ENGLISH. 1:1 and classes for young learner s

My niece was getting €10 an hour in a pueblo blanco. If you don't accept less, you'll find people willing to pay that - otherwise they're taking a lend of you. You want the tusclasesparticulares website - I found loads of classes through that when I was looking. It's brilliant - just log what you're...

Re: Parking at Seville Airport

But surely the airport's the most expensive place to park. If you come off the Cadiz to Seville road, take the middle lane into Seville - left lane takes you over the bridge towards Huelva on the SE30 and right lane takes you round on the SE30 towards Malaga (and the airport). This brings you to a r...

We have a ticket for this Ryanair flight and can't use it now. Think it costs 40 quid for a name change. Anyone interested?

Nice Hostal in Sevilla

We stayed in Pension Gala, C/ Gravina 52, Sevilla last weekend. We booked through Booking.com for €45. It was good for the price, if anyone's interested.
