Re: Car sale complications

I was once stopped by the guardia when taking my vehicle for a test one day late. It had expired on the previous day, a Sunday. I had a printout of the appointment and a printout of a confirmation email. They said I was breaking the law by driving a vehicle with an expired ITV and the fact that I ha...

Re: Payment of 3% When a Non Resident's Property is Sold

Spanish lawyers rarely take responsibility for anything. It is the buyers who will incur the wrath of AEAT and be subjected to a considerable fine if the retention is not paid or if it is paid after the period allowed for payment. You will not be able to complete your own Capital Gains Tax return un...

Re: Car sale complications

The vehicle will have to be taken to an ITV centre on a trailer. Is it insured?

You can apply for a copy of the NIE certificate but you will need a power of attorney.

These people will be able to help: https://www.depinna.com/specialist-spanish-notary-translation They may require a draft power of attorney in Spanish in the first instance. If so I can put your friends in contact with a legal translator in Málaga who can prepare it and deal with Depinna from start ...

Re: CGT REFUND & IRNR 2019

The period for payment of non-resident income tax for 2018 is 1st January 2019 to 31st December 2019 and you cannot pay it prior to this date neither can it's non-payment be used as a reason for not refunding the 3% retention Assuming the capital gains tax return claiming the refund of the retention...

Re: 2018 road trip to the Casa. More ideas like last year please.

Lerma town centre is a five or ten minute walk but there were no restaurants, just cafe/bars. However, remember, that this was more than twenty years ago so there may well be restaurants now especially as it seems to have become a favourite stopping off place for people travelling the length of the ...

Re: 2018 road trip to the Casa. More ideas like last year please.

I always stayed at the Alisa. The first time was before the motorway was built and the main road went through the centre of the town and I was looking for somewhere with a secure covered car park because I had a soft-top loaded to the gunnels. From then on I always stayed there and it was even bette...

Re: Ryanair industrial action July

Parilla, no, that's as well as. Anyway, back to the plot. My wife is shortly returning from Bournemouth airport with Ryanair. If you want to fly to Bournemouth from Málaga the choice is between Ryanair and Ryanair. I doubt even the most avid practitioner of petty one-upmanship would choose to fly to...

Re: Ryanair industrial action July

All this petty one-upmanship over not flying with Ryanair pretty much leaves me cold. The only thing I have against Michael O'Leary is the fact that he does not want the United Kingdom to leave the execrably dysfunctional and corrupt organization currently known as the European Union.

Have you checked the dates of validity? Are you sure you lost a month? If you did go back and challenge them. One of the new rules which came into effect on 20th May 2018 states: Las nuevas normativas de la ITV establecen que se puede pasar la ITV hasta un mes antes de su vencimiento. Los titulares ...

Re: Ryanair industrial action July

... I can not understand the vitriol that comes out of some of these postings about Ryanair.... Neither can I. Although I have not flown since around 1994 my wife travels regularly to Bournemouth with Ryanair usually for less than €50 return each time. There has never been a problem with onboard se...

Re: Digital Certificates

The letter would have been sent at around the same time that the notification was entered on the Sede. I think it would be a bit of a logistical nightmare to wait and see if there is any response to the electronic notification before sending out the letter. The notification goes on the Sede regardle...
