Re: Minimum car insurance cover

We found little difference in premium with full comp or third party, and the coverage very minimal.

Re: Itchy Feet..

We found the move from one part of Spain to another far more stressful than our move from the UK, even though the house was there rather than having to be built, and we were much more comfortable with the language and the way of life. We have put it down to simply being 13 years older.

And one idiot managed to overdose on cocaine on a Jet2 from Ibiza to Manchester. How thorough are searches! At least Darwin’s theories proved right and he did not survive.

On our flight (and family say on many of theirs previously) there was no wine, no milk for coffee for sale, so maybe they are promoting abstinence!

Re: Ryanair industrial action July

Flew on Friday from Murcia San Javier with two litre bottles of gin in a flight bag....no problems. Don’t know if things will change in January when they shut this lovely little airport and transfer to Corvera.

“Best to prune at the back end of the year and burn”
Just repeating advice, the smoke from burning oleander clippings is poisonous....

Re: Right time to prune Oleanders and how?

Be very careful with that stuff: wear strong rubber gloves, eye protection and cover as much skin as you can. It is highly poisonous (there is enough poison in a branch to kill or seriously affect a horse!) and the smoke should you be foolish enough to burn the trimmings is as lethal.

Re: Offshore bank accounts

Not scaremongering...the rules are changing. From gov.uk site “On 31 December 2015, all HMRC offshore facilities closed. Up to that date, HMRC gave incentives to encourage people to come forward and clear up their tax affairs. That’s no longer the case, but before automatic exchange and new sanction...

I use SinPlomo95 from Carrefour filling stations. It is Repsol petrol, and with my socio card I get 8% discount, added to my Club balance so redeemable for shopping in the supermarket. Having a Hybrid I also save in my pocket and help the environment.
