Re: Tool supplies

If you are going to do a fair bit of shopping in Leroy you should sign up for a “Socio” card....cumulative % to get a voucher at the end of a quarter. It soon builds up and you get promotional emails that could be useful rather than spam. It is free.

Re: Frigiliana campo water - safe to drink?

We never drank the tap water when we lived in Comares, and used Brita filter tap and jugs for anything else that was used for cooking or hot drinks. Neighbours drank the tap water, but there seemed to be a long line of folk suffering then being treated for kidney or bladder stones....very painful!

Re: What town/village would you move to if you could?

Big city, lots of history with Roman amphitheatre and Naval museum etc. Not keen on big city living, but plenty villages and small towns around, incuding some on the route of a single-track train.

Anywhere near Puerto Mazarron, no need for pool as the bay is great, nice marina, and check out the house prices up here in Murcia!

very difficult to be sympathetic to anyone not having travel insurance, though probably would not cover this sort of accident.

Re: Airport Run

Anyone using unlicensed “taxis” is not only risking their own safety, and with no insurance cover, but if there is a Trafico roadblock they can make you get out, with no interest in how you continue your journey. Great fun with a flight to catch and laden with suitcases. The licensed cabbies at AGP ...

Liberty have always sent a downloadable PDF of our insurance certificate on renewal. May be worth checking the email to see if there is anything lower down the page? They should certainly send you one on request.

Re: Medical Records

I would ask your GP at your medical centre. In the old days of x-rays they gave you the film to take to your doctor then keep, but with the modern digital images they rarely seem to print anything, just view it on screen, so you may need a report from your doctor.

The electric ones are fine for fingers and toes, but for real work like a thigh bone you need a good 2-stroke.

Re: Re ITV

I really do not get this: the reminder about your ITV comes from Trafico IIRC, who have access to vehicle insurance documents? So why cannot they tell the company running the ITV stations that the vehicle is insured...?

Re: Chainsaw Purchase

Before driving a car there is training (optional I suppose) and testing of competence, plus laws on how they should be used, plus copious safety measures like seat belts, fitness testing ( both car and driver in Spain), which makes them a country mile from Pepe Bloggs walking in to a ferreteria and ...

Just take a look at how much time a recognised trainer advises, and what a range there is....http://www.andyschainsawtraining.co.uk/courses/
In my view they are as potentially lethal as a shotgun, and should be as restricted in a similar way.
