Re: HIRING A COACH

OK, I’m amazed I didn’t know that existed or I would have visited it. I love Islamic architecture. Obviously not well publicised compared to the Mesquita etc. I will definitely have a look next time we go up that way. Thanks for that information.

I have just spent two days in Cordoba and didn’t notice a Medina. Do you perhaps mean the Mezquita which is a cathedral built within a mosque?

Drove up the motorway to Cordoba the other day and the prices were less than our local garage!

Re: Residence Registration No Healthcare

I guessed it was PM. We have been with them for 15 years and no problems. By the way, they have almost zero facilities in Granada province. They do have a few limitations particularly about bits they leave in you like stents and new joints. There is a relatively small cap on these and they do have s...

Re: USB adaptors

It will be fine. These are Smart chargers and only supply what the device needs. The 2a outlet is best for tablets rather than phones as they will charge quicker. You can plug a phone into the 2a outlet but it won’t charge any quicker than the 1a outlet. The weather station will be fine on the 1a ou...

Wicksey, I can see your problem. We have just sold an 18 year old Mitsubishi Pinin, a Cleo sized 4x4 with all the clever off road transmission bits. It was a great car and invaluable before our very steep access road was tarmacked. Replaced with an even smaller VW Up! Although it only has a 3 cylind...

Re: Residence Registration No Healthcare

The new law was passed about a month or so ago. I know of people on the Convenio Especial who have had their direct debits cancelled and are now covered free under the new rules.

When it filters down to the guy behind the dest at the National Police registration desk is anybodies guess!k

You have the right of residence ONLY if you meet the requirements in the registration procedure. Many applicants have been rejected.

Re: Residencia in Malag

It proves you are a state pensioner, but it doesn't show how much money you get. The OP stated that his income is below €600 so that could be a problem, depending on which office you go to. Capital, rather than income is frequently accepted, even just an escritura on property has been accepted. You ...

Re: Residencia in Malag

Of course, proving to them that you have a state pension could be tricky. What are you going to show them? They are unlikely to accept your annual notice of what your pension will be from the DWP. A few months of transfers from the DWP to your Spanish bank account, labelled “pension” should be fine....

Nerja has not had a proper food market for years. They do have the usual rubbish flea markets weekly but nothing that compares to the daily food markets in Almuñécar or La Herradura or most other towns.

A normal blood test shows cholesterol and glucose levels and a lot more. They will also take your blood pressure and from the results set up other relevant checks.

Re: Shower.

I hope you do that soon and post the results. I have a very specific potential (no pun intended) problem with my new Smart meter. I have a 13.8kw 3 phase supply, but the old ICP consisted of 3x20A separate fuses giving me 13.8kw in total but only 4.6kw on each phase. That would rule out a shower or ...

They will give you a blood test and ECG if you ask your doctor. They will normally insist you have one every year.

A friend was stopped on her way to get an ITV (current one expired) and the Guardia said she could continue.

As always in Spain, the law and the interpretation of it are rarely the same!

You are allowed to drive to the itv centre if you ha be an appointment and drive directly there.

You may also have a problem if he does not have an address in Spain. In Málaga province they may also insist that he has a Padron certificate before they will transfer it to him.
