Re: Chromecast

Maybe I'm being a little simplistic here but can you not screencast from your tablet to your smart TV? Even my (semi) smart LG has a cast app on it.

Re: ClicSalud+

Have you tried using the android app saludresponde for making appointments? Very simple to use even for a non-fluent Spanish speaker. Get t it on the playstore.

Re: Chromecast

I wonder what it was you expected from Chromecast that it didn't do? Nothing particularly complicated. I purchased the chromecast specifically for this and I simply wanted to cast uktv on my tablet to a TV in a Spanish hotel room. Had it working at home no problem. But when we got to the hotel I hi...

Re: Chromecast

I'm certainly no expert on chromecast having sold mine after figuring out it didn't do what I wanted. But just seen this posting on Facebook by the folks from smartdnsproxy which certainly seems to say that you can cast from your pc/tablet/phone to your chromecast and hence to the TV. https://www.sm...

Re: New living in Spain series.

Their website is bargaincars.es. I have looked at their site a few times when contemplating changing my car. Think they are in Estapona.

Re: New Indian Torre del Mar

Yada Yada Yada is simply an alternative to etc etc etc or so on and so on, all of which save a lot of typing and are in very common use both written and verbally. I rubbished nobody's contribution. Especially when you, the author of the post to which I responded took it in good grace and in the spir...

Absolutely not, you say as much as you wish to add, and don't interpret that as me giving you permission, which is just as crazy as your interpretation of my earlier post...

Not so far, nor has anyone tried to charge me 'corkage'...

The couple of restaurants we use regularly are used to me now. One actually asked me where my jar of chutney was when I forgot it one time.

Re: New Indian Torre del Mar

Here we go again, this is the best Indian, no this is the best Indian, yada yada yada. Everybody to their own. Quite right, Bob. Was aware of that as I wrote. New Year's resolution: Add restaurant preferences to the long list of 'Everybody to their own'. Other items on the list include engine oil a...

Re: New Indian Torre del Mar

Here we go again, this is the best Indian, no this is the best Indian, yada yada yada. Everybody to their own. Personally I thought Taj in Torre was really poor, bland, tasteless and I could barely tell dishes apart. My opinion and I don't have to justify it. On the other hand I think some of the di...

Re: New Indian Torre del Mar

I make my own mango chutney and always take a jar to the Indian with me cos I refuse to eat that orange sh**e liquid that they provide with poppadoms. Likewise the lime pickle is normally not good so a jar of that goes into the wife's handbag. Both are a breeze to make.

Re: New Indian Torre del Mar

When we, I mean my wife cooks Indian each dish is made from a pile of ingredients. A lot of restaurants make a big bucket of curry sauce then throw some bits of meat in along with possibly a couple of extra spices and a handful of chilli's. Result most dishes are similar and almost impossible to dis...

Re: New Indian Torre del Mar

Quick Google found an indalucia in Nerja, now permanently closed. Hope that they have moved to torre as it had great reviews on TripAdvisor https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaurant_Review-g315917-d13992153-Reviews-Indialucia_Nerja-Nerja_Costa_del_Sol_Province_of_Malaga_Andalucia.html Gonna have to t...

Re: New Indian Torre del Mar

That name rings a bell, after all it's unusual and catchy. Pretty sure it was mentioned in digame or Facebook, but it was I think out in the backend of Nerja near the flea market site. Maybe they've moved.

Gonna have to try it, sucker for new Indians.

Re: Huawei MediaPad T3 7" Model BG2-WO9

Have you figured this out? Not a lot of help but just powered up the new T3 10, which is running android 7. Doesn't have an sd card slot, but one of those trays that you extract with a pin. Inserted a fresh out of the packaging Kingston sd card. It was recognised and use able immediately. Looking li...

Re: Huawei MediaPad T3 7" Model BG2-WO9

I have just bought a Huawei M5 Lite. Excellent tablet with a long battery life. Anyways on this tablet, settings/storage. The SD card appears under Portable Storage. Hit the little arrow and there is an option to format. If you can't see the card at all then do as Enrique suggests format it Fat32 wi...
