Handy Household Tip

I am a very unlikely source for household hints but here goes..... I came across this last night. Maybe I'm the last person in the world to know it, but here goes. If your oven glass has grease dirt you get a dishwasher tablet, dip it in warm water and rub it over the glass. The grease comes off lik...

Re: Changing inside router for Now TV

Thanks for that Mark Movistar were just round here and I thought they were going to change the router, but they didn't. Thy said the exterior cable was bad. So God willing it will be OK but extra handy to have the advice now for what will surely be a next time.   :thumbup...

Changing inside router for Now TV

I know I have to fiddle with the router but cannot remember how to enable playing of Now TV I have done this before but cannot find the printout I had. Re: Spanish keyboard v Uk keyboard

I have an option on mine, on the bottom right of the screen next to the time/date there is ENG/ES or ENG/UK or ENG or ES click on that and there are options. Personally I have mine on ENG/ES which is English language preference and Spanish keyboard because I do use Spanish symbols and ñç etc. But yo...

Re: Ants!!!!

There is a little video on this page telling you all about it.

I have to say I am impressed - and I don't have to worry about the dog.

Re: Ants!!!!

Update.

I got the Eco gel. It is a transparent gel in a syringe so I ran it along the wall side of the counter top last Wednesday and have not seen one ant since. I got the 5 ml tube for 5 Euros, but there is a 10 ml one for about 7 Euros.

Re: Ants!!!!

I'm stop-gapping with a product called Eco Gel which the local chandlers-hardware shop says is very good. i'm going to use powder as a last resort as up here we have such violent gusts of wind I worry for the dog. My supposition is the nest is in the ventilation shafts in the building as there are s...

Re: Ants!!!!

Shame you just can't injure them so they can limp back to their mates and say don't go there! But I literally have no food in the kitchen other than in the fridge, including sugar, flour etc everything in there. So there is nothing to eat. But I take a slice of bread out of the freezer, put it on a ...

Re: Ants!!!!

Hi there I thought the problem had gone. But the ants are back! It is not like there are hundreds, just really in ones and twos, but I have no idea where they are coming from. Absolutely no food out, all in the fridge. But one will suddenly appear from nowhere. Are they coming in through the window ...

Re: Provisional Driving License

Definitely cannot be used outside Spain - and don't forget Gibraltar is outside.

I had this problem a few years ago and just realised in time, although, naturally, the gestor said it would be fine!

Re: Ants!!!!

Hi

I went for ZUM which seems to be highly rated all round. The powder options worry me because of the dog who may do a Boris 'sneeze it up' by mistake.

Anyway, let's see but I have high hopes.......

International Driving Licence

Anyone know if it OK to drive just with that as they have sent their normal UK EU one off for renewal. I said I thought so as it has all the details etc and photo but would like to double check. It was issued in the UK in March when we thought we were leaving the EU so valid for a year. Cheers folks!

Re: Ants!!!!

Hi Enrique!
How are you?

Pleased it is a general problem and not just me. Yes 15-20 is about right. No idea where the exit place is but there are a couple of possibilities. ZZ Polvo? Carrefour or similar maybe?

Thanks

Re: Legal report

Anecdotally all you ever hear is problems occurring with situations like this. Lawyers here, apparently, take very little responsibility and town halls can change like the wind if the politics/policies/mayor change. Would it be possible for you to get the sellers to legalise it as a condition of sal...

Re: used car: AUTO COZAR, "VIP - Cars", experiences?

I bought from Cozar, the excellent non-rip-off garage I've used for years in the Estepona poligano recommended them. They were fine, but that was a few years ago. Never heard bad things though.

There are a couple of second hand places in the poligano who also look OK.......
