Re: ITV change - no letter of notification

I just got my letter and called the garage immediately but they have said they cannot get an appointment until 5 days after the due date. (First week of March) I understand there is no period of 'grace' but the garage said to go and see them and they will give me something that will cover me. Anyone...

Re: Obtaining Spanish passport

Hi Snorbs The results of the nationality exam come in 20 days (and they did, too!) The DELE say 3 month but the school said to me more like 6 weeks. Inst Cervant also send you a programme to practise the exam to put on your computer for 3 months. It costs 50 euros. It was quite helpful and has a ful...

Re: Obtaining Spanish passport

I agree in a way. The citizenship exam does require a reasonable level of comprehension, and some of the questions on the constitution are quite complex. It includes also history, geography, arts, education system etc etc.along with day to day taxes etc I think it's Spanish language A2 because it de...

Re: Obtaining Spanish passport

Hi Snorbs

I think it was OK but who knows?

Yes 60%. They lump writing and comprehension together, and speaking and listening......

I did mine locally, and yes, they seem to do them now and again.

Hope this helps..............

Re: Getting Spanish Citizenship

Hi guys I am really waiting to see what happens, but I thought it just as well to have the exams done. My understanding is that you renounce UK citizenship in Spain but you don't have to do that in the UK, as Sid says. But my life is here, I have zero desire to return to UK. I went back last year fo...

Re: Getting Spanish Citizenship

Well Sid

I just want to get all my ducks in a row.

My whole life is here in Spain and I have no wish at all to return to UK. It may be easier in the long run to get a Spanish passport so just keeping options open.

Getting Spanish Citizenship

Hi there   Does anyone know how long it takes to get Spanish citizenship? I've passed the citizenship exam (phew  ) and am doing the Spanish language exam next Friday . I then need a few other documents, but, having collected them together, I would be interested to know how long t...

Re: New Law about UK Pensions

I originally posted it as it is my understanding that not everybody on this forum is resident in Spain full-time. It may have been relevant to some 'part-timers'. I have certainly met people claiming UK pension credits over here. I thought it was interesting as it is a policy that has been moved for...

Re: Spanish Nationality?

It was the Spanish General Knowledge, the CCSE

Spanish political system, constitution, history, geography and life in Spain. The politic ones are very tricky!

Thanks Lavanda

Re: Spanish Nationality?

Thank you Patricia.
I am really pleased because I had a terrible cold when I took it, and had my doubts! My head was just a fog.

(There were hundreds of people taking it, but no Brits that I could hear. Mostly South American, Eastern Europe and Moroccan.)

Cheers

Re: Property in UK, Tax in Spain

Thanks for that. It is an investment under 50k so I do not think it has to be declared on 720.
