Re: Letter from my bank

The Unicaja branch in Competa reopened our account after I send them a pdf of my Danish tax return from 2015 with a short explanation in English. All the standing orders were payed while the account was closed so no problems with Endesa, Movistar etc. But of course I could not transfer any money to ...

Modem and WIFI?

A dial up modem, a router and even a wireless access point?
That is not going to work!

You need an ADSL connection to go wireless

Telefonica

If you have a Telefonica phone line you dial 908200220.
Username: telefonicanet@telefonicanet
Password: telefonicanet

That should connect you to the internet.

The names of the letters in the phonetic alphabet are chosen very carefully to make it international. The words chosen sounds the same (more or less) in most languages.

Proper solutions

Have a look at these websites. These companies have decent solutions depending on your type of radio:

http://www.dension.com/main.htm

http://www.connects2.com/c2home.aspx

I have used the iceLinkFM for a while and it works fine

Doesn't work

You might find a usable frequency in one area, but as soon as you have driven for a while, you will be disturbed by some new radio station. The only decent solution is a cable connection from the ipod to the radio.

Mac problem

I have a Mac, but I am not quite sure what your problem is.

You need to set up the dial connection in your network settings. You will find that under system preferences in the Apple Menu. I guess you are using OSX?

Paint white

Well, my house is white like 99.9% of the houses in Competa. It will not be painted before September ;-) I have read the Town Hall newsletter "Voz de Competa" (the English version) all year and never seen a word about the white paint. You can reach the Town Hall via this web site http://ww...

I do have an escritura though.

An escritura in your name? I was of the impression that an NIE-number was essential for that.

I guess this is what you are after: http://www.dmi.dk/dmi/index/verden/verdensvejr_europa.htm?city=150034104&name=Malaga Unfortunately it's in Danish, but the lower graphic shows the average amount of rain (blue) and the average day (red) and night temperature (green) for each month. The figure ...

Small town house

That sort of money will buy you a small town house in Competa and Canillas. At that price you will have to do some rebuilding and decorating.

Torre del Mar police station is the right place to go for NIE when based in Competa. It's free.
The police station is on the main road through town in the eastern end.

Motor bikes

Yes Frank. The noise from the bikes were terrible. But it's much better in Competa now. A lot of bumps in the roads and more observant police has helped a lot.

Well the guy is still there on and off. He is absolutely harmless and is just trying to earn a few cents.
If you park at Plaza Carmen, yuu will be much closer to the national park.
Always room for one more car around there
Have a nice walk!
