Scrapyards/desguaces

We've been recommended to a scrapyard in Jimena by a number of people, but no-one has actually said where it is.

Does anyone on here have any information please?

Thanks.

Re: Mysterious little hanging things

Sound like food moth larvae :(

Or whatever larvae also likes to sit in bed linen.

Pheromone strips from health food stores gets rid of the moths and the larvae.

Re: Taxi charges from Malaga Airport to Malaga bus station.

Or you could take the bus from the airport. I think they run every half an hour and take around 40 minutes. Cost used to be a euro, number 19. Can't remember the time of the last bus to torrox/nerja - but you can find it on the Alsa web site http://www.alsa.es:80/portal/site/Alsa/ Looks like 7.30pm ...

Re: I want a villa near Torre del Mar

Depends what you want really. What's a villa? and what is 'near' Torre? I would say avoid estate agents too - if you can, although rumour has it their appalling commission rates (appalling for buyers/sellers not them) have been reduced. If you find anything in the Torre/Velez area I can recommend an...

Re: Red Arrows Display In Gibraltar

The display was brilliant. The traffic to Europa Point was unbelievable.

They left (according to their web site) at something after 1pm.

But there are more disruptions this weekend with other aircraft stuff arriving/departing etc as Gib is celebrating Battle of Britain weekend.

Mike You need to get your forms from your local tax office. Your well-paid gestor will probably have lots of labels in your name, but may not be willing to give them to you. So you will need to go to the tax office and get your own. The lables are essential to stick on the form. Do you have the copi...

The bus is cheaper than the taxi. I don't see why it wouldn't be safe either. It may be safe to thumb a lift. It may not be. That applies anywhere. It is 10€ something from La Linea to Málaga. I think the taxi will work out a little dearer. It is 3€ something by bus to Estepona. You didn't say where...

Everything princess peach says and: Very fresh veg Cycling to town - and further (the roads are wider and there is a two metre rule here - we both hated cycling when we went back to the UK) Being able to repair the vehicle in the street in the sun in the middle of winter (even if you can't wash it i...

About time they brought back cheap prices for last-minute bookings. Ever since I've had time and flexibility it has always been dear to book last-minute. Wasn't like that when I was young. Why not sell empty seats cheap? Better than nothing. Good one Easyjet. I might even think about using them now.

Hiya pp I really can't handle dog shelters  Can't come out without bursting into tears and at least one dog obviously. When we drop off the stuff I'll be sitting in the vehicle - that's if I even go. But happy to meet anyway. I'll pm you when I'm next coming down to Gib as I'm in the Axarquía r...

I admire you pp for trying to help and wanting to do such a difficult job. I know I couldn't do it. Is it the same one in La Linea that has asked for stuff on Gib Freecycle? because we are actually going to give them some stuff (blankets, towels, newspapers etc). Regardless, you have a big heart.

We use Mumtaz which is between City Mill Lane and Cornwall's Lane for take aways. They do a good range of naans. Like anywhere you need to pick the day and the time. You can get drier curries - and - if you ask for a picante curry you can get serious hot stuff. Even we take care. They are good at do...

pp

I am just at a loss as to why they are inside. No smart comment intended. But chillies in Andalucía are grown outside in the sun, the occasional but very heavy rain, and lots of wind.

And then they dry. But inside :?:

But let's compare notes through the growing season. Yes?

I've just had a count and I have seven plants remaining from last year/year before, a few chillies on one plant, but I have a load of dried ones hanging up anyway. (I tried a piccy earlier and failed miserably). They get watered sometimes. I take the chillies when I want them. Sometimes I have too m...

Different experience here. We bought our Spanish vehicle in December, and the first year we didn't get a reminder. The second year we did. In Velez I think you pay between March and May. Ours was 60 something euros. But it was not at the town hall - a different office up a side street that deals wit...

Perhaps better to consider getting your dogs neutered, if you can't stand between lovers. I am sure they are cute. So are all the others who end up in the dog pound or the rescue shelter. Good on you for trying to rehome them. Next time, perhaps you won't let it happen. It is not our responsibility ...
