Re: Televidiosat and iptv box questions

Thanks markwilding for your full reply, very helpful.

I read a post and the replies about Amazon fire suggesting that a new release is imminent, is a Fire the same thing (in layman's terms) as an iptv box?

Setting up a vpn is probably not viable for payg wifi for holiday visits.

Thanks Z

Thanks for the update on Filmon; it must be two years or more since I last used them over landline broadband.

Sounds like commercial reality must have kicked in.

Televidiosat and iptv box questions

It's been a while since I've posted on the forum, so please be gentle. Some time ago we had the "old" sky/UK satellite tv services and then landline and Movistar broadband to the house and it all worked fine, but the house got used less over the past couple of years and so we cancelled the...

Re: Movistar

I've never figured out how to access the TV part of my Fusion contract and probably don't really want it anyway - maybe a bit like in the UK with BT as my Internet provider, I have BT TV (can't remember it's proper name, which is probably an indication that I haven't used it for years). Although BT ...

Re: Wine from Axarquia

IreneD Ah yes, in November last year, Clara and Andre at the vineyard told us that they would be offering high quality lunches; if I remember correctly these were going to be on an ad hoc basis depending upon how many bookings they received. Looking at their website a moment ago, there is now a noti...

Re: Wine from Axarquia

I had no idea there were wines costing in the double digits - other than the excellent ones in Lidl at up to 99 cents... POR Come down from the hills on your side of Velez Malaga and up the ones a little to the east at exit 277 to just past Sayalonga and Bodegas Bentomiz and discover what you have ...

Re: Wine from Axarquia

Hi ebbnflow You can get Ariyanas wines in Competa at the small Eroski supermarket just below the plaza and at Komo Komo just to one side of the car park. It's also available at Venta El Curro in Archez, often cheaper than at the supermarkets above, depending upon which of the Ariyanas wines you want...

Re: Portable gas fire faulty!

I posted a similar question a few years back, but the replies at that time didn't mention cleaning the fire, glad to see that the hoover works; I'll try that next time we are over.

Re: Getting Married In Spain

Being somewhat of a novice at weddings - whilst we had a DIY wedding in 1976, this will be the first one that we have assisted our daughter with and I hope that there is a way; one often sees on TV or hears of the offsprings' friends that got married on a beach in Goa; or Barbados etc etc so hopeful...

Re: Getting Married In Spain

I have been to three expat weddings at the Church in La Virginia, Marbella. Lovely setting and one of the people was Jewish so it must be possible  Katy Thanks for your reply, Marbella is too far away, but the fact that you have been to three expat weddings gives us some hope that it is do-a...

Re: Getting Married In Spain

As one who has done this I can confirm it is difficult but not impossible. I will send you a PM with the contact details of the agency she worked with and maybe she will be better positioned to advise further. Many thanks Lyric I've seen your pm and replied to it and will follow up in the morning. Z

Re: Getting Married In Spain

A friend recently organised it for his daughter, but most people seem to pop down to Gib and get married there and have the reception in Spain. There are some good wedding planners around so it might be worth talking to one of them. Sid Thanks Sid, Gib is not an option as far as our daughter is con...

Getting Married In Spain

I've searched in this forum for this topic and drew a blank. Has anyone any experience of non-residents getting married in Spain? See below: We are non-resident Brits; our daughter has said she'd like to get married in 2016 in our pueblo's church. A couple of questions come to my mind and it would b...

Supersol on the roundabout to the east of Torre del Mar before Caleta has soured cream. It's imported from Germany, and in their "yoghurt/cream" fridge, about halfway along and about halfway up the shelves. I can't remember the name of the producer, the label is in German with a stuck on S...

Re: Do You Spain/Malagacar

Hi chrissiehope After I posted, I wondered if the €560 was the total cost, if that's the case, then HH are not "sitting on" €560; they have taken alisonb's deposits which they will return when she returns the car undamaged and with a full tank and her rental charge. Some time ago one of HH...

Hi alisonb It's been years since I used anyone else than Helle Hollis, but don't all companies take an insurance deposit if you choose not to buy their insurance? I too have my own UK based insurance for excess insurance policy and my brother who stayed with us a couple of months ago also took it ou...

The Spice Mountain site looks interesting.

In June whilst still in the UK, I bought Chipotle Powder from an ebay seller "fruishion" - £2.29 for 50gr with free UK postage. They have loads of other products too, well worth a look.
