I understand that builders need a 'premarco' this is inserted as a guide for the builder to leave a gap for a window or door to be fitted of that size. As I have 4 PVC windows which are 1m x 1m - Do I need one for e...

Re: El Corte Ingláis (Granada) Parking

David - Good Info - but I thought the store may have it's own private parking rather than having to use municipal car parks.

Lost Post

Just a note so say that I posted two letters (different recipients, different areas of the UK) on 26th April this year in a post box at The Plaza Mayor near the railway platform. Why? Because I live in the campo 50km north of Malaga and thought the post would be delivered quicker down near the coast...

Re: Granada City Traffic Fine

Gerry & Costa Kid - As a matter of course hotels located in an area you mentioned should ask if you are arriving by private car! Olive - Trying to get it annulled, probably more trouble than it's worth. I don't have a sat nav don't know if these devices make you aware of restricted areas, though...

Re: Speed camera map

Cheers Sid - How do you read the pdf listing? Understand the first three columns but what does PK stand for? Is the longitude/latitude location of the camera position and for the sentido column - creciente, decreciente and ambos. What are these?

Granada City Traffic Fine

Received a notification from out post office, a document I had to sign for. It was a traffic fine for driving in Granada City on a street solely for authorised vehicles, buses & taxis etc. I didn't really notice the sign as I was busy trying to avoid 20,000 college students weaving their way in ...

Re: Wood burning stove specialist

The other possibility (though much further away) is the excellent Bronpi company who have a comprehensive showroom and workshop on the road between Lucena and Cordoba - not really in the Frigliana or Nerja community - sorry...... Bronpi also have a store near Pulianas the northern area of Granada C...

Re: Thoughts on Iznajar?

I lived in this area for 15 years, the potential for off-season bookings is extremely slim, in fact expats with rentals are finding bookings this year by Brits down this summer (possibly do to Brexit issue). Off season it is quite cold and normally wet (we did have -8°C one year), we look after two ...

Translation of PDF to English

I have been sent an email pdf attachment of a comprehensive quote for a major building project, it comprises 24pages in all with breakdown of costs in some cases there maybe up to 5 paragraphs (with tabs) on each page, the document is in Spanish. The long winded solution is to highlight each paragra...

Any ideas :?:

Re: New update on licences from gov.uk

I had my appointment today in Granada (City) for my change of licence to a Spanish one, I had the medical 2 months ago. I obviously took all my documentation including the kitchen sink, the whole process went well, they took my UK licence and my old green paper licence which stated that I a provisio...

Re: Exchanging UK driving Licence for a Spanish one

Due for my appointment at the DGT Granada next week for licence exchange, I have photocopies (x3) of all the documentation I think I need including the certificate I was issued from my medical from 2 months back. I have my latest Empadronamiento I was issued with when I bought a new car in Dec 2017 ...

Does anybody have a link to a supplier of fibreglass plunge pools? Not a Jacuzzi. I'm having a reform done for a small cottage type rural property I am only allowed a pool 2m x 2m max. Re: TV Mucho users

Nothing else running here to use any line capacity.

No, tried reselecting the channel after it freezes, (when I say freezes the tv image has frozen but the buffering icon spins round, even after signing off and re-connecting, though it will connect eventually after 10mins or so.

Re: Leroy Merlin - Little Faith

My brother has only lived here for two years, he's not on this forum but he could write a book on the issues he's had with LM at the Nevada Centre. His nearest DIY store (Aki) in Motril where he did get a decent service is now in the process of being reformed to a LM Compact. Sometimes it is better ...
