Re: High Speed Internet/Fibre Availability

As far as UK TV on Avatel is concerned remember that only BBC1, BBC2 and ITV are in HD, all the others are in blurry SD unfortunately, watchable though for most people. I use IntelSat 907 and a few other systems for my UK TV. Avatel have an 18 month permanency clause, good for making the price stay ...

Re: High Speed Internet/Fibre Availability

So you mean Casares? Try Avatel or Olivenet for fibre optic, you can find details online. Both offer far better deals than movistar, several international call packs and with TV including UK TV built in. I'm down the hill near the taxi rank and Repsol garage at Bahia De Casares. Happy to show you th...

Re: rhd car in spain

Not neccesarily. I have a RHD Shogun on Spanish plates here and the quote was the same for LHD and RHD with Abbeygate (TradeWiseInsurance). The only consideration can be obtaining RHD specific parts here in the event of a repair however.

Re: Avatel broadband & TV.

Yes there is a coax point on the router and coax cable needs to go to the aerial input on the TV, the TV tuner is then used to pick up and store the channels. There is no separate "box" used. When ours was installed they accommodated my needs without hesitation. If there is already TV cabl...

Started back in August, it's to identify authorised taxis and shuttle services, about 50% of our local taxis have been adorned with blue plates so far.

Re: IPTV MAG BOX

This always happens on here when someone who is quite prepared to pay for a provider for iptv, on a very intuitive and easy to use box like a Mag gets vilified for it. I'm sure the OP would love to clear a shelf for all the different devices remotes leads etc. Not. For many people a Mag ticks their ...

Re: Movistar Fibre Router ... Smart DNS Configuration

Normally movistar fibre routers look exactly the same despite being differing makes. If I remember correctly I heard that someone else (not on this forum) had problems configuring their Mitrastar router, and couldn't find a way to change the DNS on it, the Askey is a piece of cake. in the end they t...

Re: Intelsat 907 receiver

My GI mini HD is beginning to sort of stutter on fast moving scenes, watchable but annoying. As an aside, just had Avatel fibre installed including TV pack with Spanish, French, Russian and UK TV. The TV is very good with HD although Channel 4 is only in SD exactly just like Freesat in the UK. So I ...

Re: ITV Solicitar Cita

Are you filling the reg number in in the correct way?
If you click on the +info to the right of the box it shows how to type it in, then the final 6 digits of the chassis number should do it, like lyric I did it for a recently re registered car and it accepted it as well as my van recently.

Re: Movistar Fibre broadband.

Also the wifi plus is quite limited in its transmission range. We have had fibre for 3 years in Estepona, we went to the UK last year but we moved back to Spain recently, we were offered the 600mb pack, I opted for the 100mb, (more than enough for us our amazon fire tv box streams faultlessly in 4k)...

Re: Astra 19 with a 1.3m dish is it possible???

I confess I know very little about Astra 19 and surely satPCguy will be along shortly, but just had a thought, is the LNB rotated to the correct angle? Had a friend who was struggling to pick up intelsat 907 with his old sky dish once and the LNB had to be turned to the correct position then it work...

Re: No Heated Rear Screen

In 18 years I have never had the need to use the heated rear windscreen.Sid Hellish useful if the car gets to go to France or UK - or anywhere cold and damp. Or even warm and damp. Wet day, passengers getting in with damp clothes etc, sure an air conditioned car will get rid of moisture fairly quic...
