Re: Terracotta tiles for interior/exterior

You might find them called losas de barro.
Certainly agree with the above comments. I dug all mine up from inside the house and replaced them with ceramic tiles.
The outside ones will probably be replaced soon with ceramic tiles as the surface is breaking up on quite a few of them.

Re: Terracotta tiles for interior/exterior

You should be able to find them in most real builders merchants, not places like Leroy Merlin.
Possibly haven't different names for them depending where you go but rusticos is probably a common name for them.

Re: Ryanair luggage change

Sounds like a perfectly sensible thing for Ryanair to implement.
Of course they wouln't have had to do this if it wasn't for some of their customers grossly abusing the carry on luggage allowances.

Pino Electric, Torre fel Mar, stock them. Just got one from Pino's. Don't know if you are a frequent visitor to their shop but they now have another shop at 14 Puerta del Mar, the group of shops on the other side of the roundabout from the football ground that is near El Ingenio. Pino Electric, Torre fel Mar, stock them. Alternatively, and worth a visit, Mailing Electrico, opposite the TdM bus station, near to the big Rodi & Rofer showroom. Pino's will get a visit tomorrow.  Never noticed them in Mailing Electrico when I've been in there. Cheers Gerry

Re: Average Euro rate for renta declaration 2017

I don't declare a rate as my company pension, originating in £s from the UK, is paid into my Spanish bank in €s.
I declare the total amount received in €s as that is the actual income I receive.

UPS battery

I need a new battery, 12V 7.0A, for my UPS.
I know I can probably get them online and wait for delivery, but would prefer to buy one from a shop tom morrow.
Anybody know of a shop that sells them in the Torre del Mar, Velez Malaga, Rincon de la Victoria area.

Hi Gordon Been away for a few days so couldn't comment on your "Lorca" offer. I'd like to see your write up and learn a bit more about Lorca. My only knowledge of Lorca, so far, was of being involved in a production of his play "Blood Wedding" and staying in the hotel in Granada ...

Re: Choosing / changing electricity contract

I read somewhere that throwing the main on/off switch on the fuse-board and then switching back on would do it. Is that correct ? That is my understanding. One day, when I've got nothing better to do, I will overload my contracted 8.8 KW supply until it trips and see how to reset it. Cheers Gerry

Re: Choosing / changing electricity contract

[ We have a smart meter but the trip is in the fuseboard in the house, sealed with wire and a lead crimp. So do I, but the trip in the fuseboard was installed before the Smart meter was installed. I believe the trip in the fuseboard is now surplus to requirements and can be removed. Cheers ...

Assuming your phone uses the Android OS then if you go into settings, data usage it will show you the amount of data used by each app in your present monthly billing period.
You can also set a warning when your usage exceeds a certain amount.

Re: Mobile phone data usage

Sorry but why are you worried about such a small amount of data being used? Do you have a monthly data cap on your phone? Do you pay for the amount of data used? Both I and my wife have a 2GB monthly data caps on our phones. The phones are almost permanently connected for data. Rarely ever use our a...

Very true, much down to personal taste. Both my wife and myself prefer the food at Taj Mahal in Torre del Mar to the food in Jaipur in Nerja.
I wouldn't be so rude as to criticise someone else's choice.
