Re: Terrace/Balcony Rails (Barandillas)

Agree with Enrique, we needed rails all around the pool as well as 2 new entrance gates and a field gate. The local metal merchants came out and measured up, we chose a simple design, one without too much intricate pattern ( would drive me mad having to paint some of them you see) .We were really hap...

In that case she really wouldn't be happy driving that road at all, no worries as there are some other really nice places and much warmer in winter.

Re: Looking for a holiday home around Competa, Sedella and Salares

I was a passenger going up to Competa, that was bad enough but the coming back down was scary, i remember thinking that i wouldn't want to travel the road to work each day, not my idea of fun..

Re: Looking for a holiday home around Competa, Sedella and Salares

So what has the M25 got to do with the posters question? It was a joke about the torrox competa road seeming to be the longest 11kms ever. Do you not have a sense of humour?????????? Oh dear, a 1,000 question marks! so how many versions of a sense of humour do you wish me to answer...or is this ano...

Re: Looking for a holiday home around Competa, Sedella and Salares

In all honesty what one area/village or town is good for one person may not be good for another..I think your best bet is that when you do go over is to have a good look around..there are lots of places to see within an hour or so of the airport...all lovely in their own way..I personally love the d...

Re: Looking for a holiday home around Competa, Sedella and Salares

Agree, it is a very twisty and winding road with nil chance of over taking..Competa is a nice place but it is over run with expats and if that is important to you then i guess if you don't mind the road up and down then it may suit you.

Re: On Off Internet

Hi costakid, we looked into internet a few weeks ago while away over easter, our place is in the campo so our findings may not suit you as you are in a more civilised place then us... Eurona offered us internet via satellite, their answer to rural properties, as yet we have not taken it up...

I'm sure you will...

Re: BEING MADE RESPONSIBLE FOR PLANTER

Who has been paying for the upkeep and insurance for the planters? I am assuming it came out of the community charges, i have no experience of community living so I'm just guessing..anyway if the cost of the upkeep of the planters has been coming out of the community charges then the residents shoul...

Re: amazon

Same here, house near the nearest village and we have never had post, no service at all including basura, yet we are charged for the rubbish collection...The way we get around it is by having our post sent to a family members address but yes a third world country is the right description.
