Re: Dynasties in UHD on BBC Iplayer

Obviously there is so little UHD content on the BBC that it’s difficult to have a clear picture what works with what. To watch Dynasties, i need to use SmartDNS as both Unblockus and Smarty throw up an error message. Another problem I get is that for some reason, I cannot access Netflix or BBC 4K o...

Re: Dynasties in UHD on BBC Iplayer

Blue Planet 2 is on BBC iPlayer but pretty certain it is not available in 4K HDR I recall they made it available in this format back in Jan for a limited time only, hence I assume that is why it is now available on Netflix

Re: Dynasties in UHD on BBC Iplayer

Just watched 1st Episode and its truly stunning. But here's something I cannot get my brain around. I have Smart DNS set to Netflix USA. My Netflix account is Netflix Spain, however when I go to watch Blue Planet 2 via the Netflix app on my 4k Firestick I get error message "you are using a prox...

Podcasts

Was unsure to put this thread here or in Entertainment or Amigo's lounge, so Sid/Beachcomber please move if needed. Due to go on a few long haul flights and want some suggestions for some good Podcasts to download and listen to to while away the time. So any recommendations across any topics welcome...

Re: Fire Stick IPTV

Had the all new 4k Amazon Firestick since Monday and find it much faster than previous generation models and setting up the new remote was very simple and some nice new features. Thoroughly recommend.

Looking at Movistar website they show they also use the Mitrastar HGW-2501GN-R2. Maybe download the User Manual in English and have a read

Re: UK TV Channels for free

Exactly you have hit the nail on the head he was asking as thread title suggests he was looking for FREE UK Channels yet it was you that brought the PAY Transponder TV into the thread for reasons only known to yourself. If you haven't grasped all the superior alternatives by now I don't think with y...

Re: UK TV Channels for free

Indeed I think the OP will have a good idea from the feedback what to use to access Free TV, and as he'd already used transponder TV as he said in his initial post!!! I doubt he'll go back down that route when so many superior options are available to him.

Re: UK TV Channels for free

TVPlayer BBC Channels are Full HD also ITV is HD along with many others such as channel 4 and 5 are. These mentioned are FREE......so what advantage would a low SD quality 480p stream played via a browser on a large screen TV at best part of €7.50 a month by Transponder TV an Australian based compan...

Re: UK TV Channels for free

Yep each to their own, but there are far far superior alternatives out there for no money apart from DNS supplier. TV Player for example have many streams are Full HD 1080P and at the worst are still HD 720P. Just from my experience 480p streams on my 55" Looks utterly appalling.

Re: UK TV Channels for free

Transponder TV is utter rubbish, the quality they stream is SD 480p at best....and it shows. Can't see the point of it at all.

Agree with all you say Mark regarding Firestick. Have just upgraded to the New 4k stick which arrived today at uk so should be here early next week hopefully.

Re: Netflix USA

No idea why you are having problems, but we watched Money Heist months ago here in Spain when we piggybacked our daughters U.K Netflix account via our Firestick Netflix app. It was and still is in English language. I have just checked as I still piggyback her U.K account on the Firestick and House o...

Re: Netflix USA

It was released worldwide last Friday 2nd Nov, I watched 3 episodes at my daughters house in the U.K on her Netflix U.K account on the Sat and Sunday and watched the remaining 5 episodes on my Spanish Netflix account back in Spain this week. So absolutely no idea why you cant get it. Maybe trying to...

Re: Best Android or other TV service box

You might get lucky. We live in the Campo, Movistar recently said that we would not get fibre for the foreseeable future. A month later they wired up 600mb cables across our garden. They say we will get the service within a few weeks when the cabling is complete. Sid Good news Sid, you'll certainly...
