Re: Seat cushions

Torrox Costa, main coast road, Cojines Belen (I think I got that right), opposite the bus station, in the service road, same side as Pinturas Andalucia.
Choose from several firmnesses of foam, and vast array of cover materials, made to order to preferred sizes.

Re: Spanish white goods brands - Which are best and which to avoid ?

You won't go far wrong with Bosch/Siemens/Balay. Bosch keep parts going for years, not expensive, and easy to obtain.
Avoid Teka (Spanish) and any Beko (mostly Turkey).
Avoid like the plague lesser-known Spanish brands of vacuum cleaner - mostly rubbish. Bosch again.

Re: Intelsat 907 receiver

I know it's quite different, but I remember the MAG250 box being hopelessly over-sold, and quite pointless for anyone not sufficiently tech-savvy. I threw ours back at Amazon shortly after taking delivery of it.

In general, beware tech businesses at market places!

Hellish useful if the car gets to go to France or UK - or anywhere cold and damp.

So is the lack of a HRW down to a local marketing decision by Ford Spain?

Found this... https://media.ford.com/content/fordmedia/feu/en/news/2018/02/05/suv-inspired-active-crossover-heads-new-ford-ka--line-up.html The car does appear to have a heated front "Quickclear" windscreen, though. You could try asking at a Ford spares counter. They would confirm, maybe f...

What model indeed ???
If that much of a disaster, and brand new, just return the car for a refund/whatever.
Will be interesting to see what the exact model is, though. Hmm...

Re: Agricultural water again

That certainly is intermittent supply, hence your large tank, and need to plan ahead. Here we have agricultural water too, but it is pumped to the area 52/52. Years ago, pumping only happened about 2-3 days a week, but at least it was every week. We run with a 17,000 litre deposito. The water compan...

Is your (agricultural) water supply not available for long periods, then? How intermittent is it?

Re: Gas to Electricity Conversion

Personal experience is to avoid Aparici and Fagor as brands of water heater. Cheaply made and short-life thermostats, elements and safety trips. Much better quality is Cointra. All the usual sizes available. For kitchens etc which are at the end of ridiculously long hot-water pipe run (and therefore...

Re: Car modification and legalities of it.

There is free movement of vehicles across the EU by EU citizens/drivers/owners etc. If vehicles then get 'imported', that's another matter. The EU has very recently ruled that a vehicle test pass in one EU country (eg UK MoT) must be recognised in another member state. SFAIK, actually driving a vehi...

Re: Car modification and legalities of it.

Jaminio, You shouldn't have an issue with swapping an auto box for manual (or vice-versa), provided it is done so that it appears to be the standard factory item. The car's ficha technica document records basics like size, weight, permitted wheel/tyre sizes, engine type, etc., but not transmission t...

Re: 907 tv signal weak

My understanding is that, for weak signals, a single LNB is best, because this one 'coil' can be placed at the exact focus of the dish. With dual/quad LNBs, there is a compromise, because not all of the coils can be located at the dish's focal point, and signal strength is reduced. One or two of our...
