Re: Avatel broadband & TV.

An HDMI cable was a guess and of no help at all. NOT a guess at all. I suggested an HDMi in case they wanted to hard wire something to the router. So what was it again that you had to supply? Really? The Avatel router does NOT have an HDMI socket. How would you connect to that? Have a guess please.

Re: Avatel broadband & TV.

That doesn't help the original poster who says they are currently in UK with installation due next Weds. Whoever provides the extra kit, in my experience it was not offered or available at the first visit by the installer and required a reschedule. This information should be useful. An HDMI cable was...

Re: Avatel broadband & TV.

Probably not true.I have Avatel. My router sends the internet tv to the tv set down a coax to the aerial socket.I had to rearrange my installation because they wanted to install the router next to the socket where the fibre enters the building and my tv set is the other side of the room. They asked m...

Re: Tourism Registry for holiday lets

On a slightly different but related note. Does anyone know if,as in the UK, a property attracts a different set of "Rates" if it is being used to run a business as opposed to residential use? If so, should/could the Business Rates be applied in full or i part when you use the property for ...

We purchased 6 different lights through Amazon as trials. They all work ok and do seem to last till dawn but they are all very lightweight and don't look like they will last very long.We are looking for sturdy units with an anticipated lifetime in excess of 5 years,We un...

Re: chrome and glass tv stand

Thanks Sid, We'll probably try that if we can't find one on facebook. Our worry is our bizarre address situation makes a failed delivery quite likely. We have a house number in our Urb,we are No6, accessed from the street. But we are not No6 in the street, there is a No6 300m away. You can guess the re...

Re: iva on community redecoration

Thanks for your replies guys. We obtained 4 quotes for the work and it was one of the contractors who quoted 10% iva. I did some googling and on a specialist website found that there is a reduced rate of 10% iva covering many products and services including: " renovation and repair of private d...

We are currently obtaining quotes locally for a complete redecoration of our small community. The total cost is likely to be circa €50k inc iva. Re: Fibre and IPTV in Marbella- Avatel Wikier (or other) experiences ?

We had Avatel fibre installed in our small community of 30 flats about 2 years ago..The fibre comes into each unit.Ours is 20 euro per month 20mb unlimited. I've never had a problem, the internet is fast and stable and the tv has loads of channels and is good quality.
