Re: Travel Insurance

Legal residents of spain are still been refused access to healthcare even with the new law. As a tourist you wont get anywhere without showing a EHIC.local health centres have even been registaring residents with them (illegally) causing lots of issues for people who are ending up been billed. Re: Residence Registration No Healthcare

Previously to register without a job or pension you needed to provide proof of private healthcare. I understand that the law was changed and healthcare is no longer required but has it been implemented on the ground? i.e. are you no longer required to produce private healthcare documents when you g...

An EHIC is not a get out of jail free card, it entitles you to medical consultations in the first instance, emergency and or life saving treatment. What you should do under the new terms laid out by the new Spanish government is attend your nearest (Spanish) health centre and register there, all you...

Re: Common tourist phrases in bars and cafes

Al, you know the OP was asking for suggestions about teaching Spanish waiters common English phrases that tourists might say, not the other way round? Your post read like it was in the opposite direction. Suggestions like, eg, highchair or fizzy water were put forward as a fair number of English sp...
