Re: car hire excess insurance

I think unlikely be blacklist as very likely the same insurance company we buy excess insurance from selling insurance for car hire firms, when the car hire clerk and the insurance agent gets their commission everyone wins, who cares about the bloody tourist. From what i am picking up here it is a c...

Re: Defending your home

While i cannot answer your question i believe the guy is perfectly entitled to defend his property/family. Johnny your light hearted comments probably correct. The not so light hearted criticism by Sid unnecessary but he may be lawyer. This is the villian, i think he has made a few friends. I say &q...

Re: To instal aluminium guttering or not?

Torre, you likely know best as this the only experience in Spain.
20 years ago i lived in a house where there was clip-on plastics.
They would not last a winter in Spain..

Re: To instal aluminium guttering or not?

I would go for aluminium guttering, this is what the builder used for me. The stuff he used anyone with a good ladder could fit. The brackets screw on to the bottom of the tile kindof clamp and guttering fits in and screws to tighten into position. Personally i think plastic clip-in type of gutterin...

Re: car hire excess insurance

Thanks for that, i now have a clearer picture as to how this works. The credit card thing interesting, i just wonder if it have something to do with credit limit on card. Say someone has limit of 2k, they put hold on 1.5k, the person goes on holidays and spends 1k +. The 1.5k is no longer available,...

Re: car hire excess insurance

I asked on another thread about car hire a few weeks ago and apart from one reply from" wiksey" not much more.
I just like to have as much info as possible before i do.
We see what happens...

car hire excess insurance

I am considering above. I principally hire Malaga and sometimes Seville, occasionally i hire in different countries but this is really not important. I have noticed on here that some companies will not accept this insurance so i like to ask the forum as little point in g=having a policy if companies...

Re: Fitting a round window

Personally i think the hole is the easy bit as Spanish building material i have seen pretty brittle but no matter what you do it is unlikely you have a perfectly round hole. What i think you need to do is make the hole as best you can. then using the window as a template cut two circular pieces from...

Re: Water

Well done Spain its nice to see a good story. I was aware there was some kindof rule but i thought it was mostly for kids or for people that be buying other stuff. I would personally not ask for free water nut nice to see it there for people who need it. I have seen water fountains around Airports, ...

Re: Malaga car hire.

I think your best option is contact credit card company and clarify what exactly is going on, malagacar had 5,000 cars a few years ago so the likelyhood of someone even bothering look at spending time to process what seems to be an administrative error may be difficult to achive. I had a car from ma...

Re: cds

It seems my original comment incorrect, its not that the player it is that it has not the pick up technology of the newer stuff.
I believe that it is possible to adjust the burn speed and i will try this, its really not too important but i prefer as then i do not
need to look after...

Re: Malaga car hire.

Wicksey thanks for the link.
Do you tell the people when you are picking up car? or is it completely separate.
I did read an article that not all companies accept this and want to sell insurance with car.

regards.

I should have said in my original post that it works in the house player but not in the car player.
I think its a good player that was in the car when i bought it, could it be that smart?

Thanks...
