Re: Comments and queries re FAQ for Non-resident income tax

esteponaman - Here's my little "cheat sheet" on how to do the form 210 for each type of income... For rental income: use Grouping accrual date blank type 01 file quarterly - first 20 days after the end of the quarter (1 - 15 for Internet payments) For imputed income: no Grouping period OA ...

Re: fee-free bank account

We have the BBVA online account also. It has no fees and no conditions. You don't have to make a certain number or amount of deposits or anything. We've had it for 4 or 5 years now and have never paid any fees. You have to do all the initial set up of the account online, but once you have it, you ca...

I have used the new save and retrieve functions successfully for the last couple of quarters.

Re: Comments and queries re FAQ for Non-resident income tax

Well, I suppose that makes sense. With the old form where you saved the data on your own hard disk, it didn't matter. But now that the data is stored on AEAT servers, they have to make sure everyone's personal data is secure. Without a digital certificate, AEAT doesn't know who you are, so they woul...

Re: Comments and queries re FAQ for Non-resident income tax

I've just checked it again -- with digital certificate -- and the Cargar and Guardar buttons are there. Maybe it's an issue of the link being outdated again? I always go to the main site https://www.agenciatributaria.gob.es and then navigate down through the choices. That way, I'm fairly certain to ...

Re: Comments and queries re FAQ for Non-resident income tax

Yes, I can confirm that that does work. I just did it that way last week. That is: 1. Paid the tax via my bank's web site. 2. Copied the resulting NRC. (Don't lose it! On my bank's website, I couldn't find a way to get it back later.) 3. Filled out Form 210 using my digital certificate. Pasted in th...

Re: Comments and queries re FAQ for Non-resident income tax

Marc1970 - Unless you can get your bank to change your "fiscal identifier" from your passport number to your NIE before the 21st, I'm betting that the bank will reject the debit on that date. And if that happens, I have no idea what you should do next. Maybe try Beachcomer's suggestion of ...

Re: Comments and queries re FAQ for Non-resident income tax

Hi guys, thanks for super-fast and super-helpful replies! I have tried “to deposit” option and “get NRC”, but at the end of the procedure got the error: "79 NIF del firmante no titular a la cuenta" I’ve tried several times. Since it’s definitely me filling the form with mine Certificado D...

Re: Comments and queries re FAQ for Non-resident income tax

Hopefully that will work for imputed tax on the new form. I think most people would prefer that the funds were taken from their account immediately rather than wait until the end of the year when it is too late to do anything about it if the debit is not made. Any further information would be great...

Re: Comments and queries re FAQ for Non-resident income tax

Yes, I have noticed that when you do the To Deposit (A ingresar) method of paying, where it takes you to a separate page, it takes the amount out of our bank account immediately.

Funny. When I click on it, it takes me to the right place. Page 60 of this thread.

I've edited the post to put the link on a separate line. See if that works any better.

Re: Comments and queries re FAQ for Non-resident income tax

I found the messages related to when the tax is actually deducted from your bank account. On this page:

See the reply from kevintosh on how to check when the debit will happen.

Re: Comments and queries re FAQ for Non-resident income tax

Marc1970 - Yes, I believe that's all you have to do. I did it that way a couple of years ago and I think the tax was deducted from my bank account pretty soon after that. There was a question on here a few months ago about when the amount was actually deducted from your bank account. I think someone...

Re: Comments and queries re FAQ for Non-resident income tax

Now that I've had a couple of quarters experience with the 2018 210 form, I thought I'd post my observations about the new saving/retrieval process. 1. The completed forms are now stored on AEAT servers, not locally on your hard disk. 2. If you digitally file your form, there is no need to explicitl...

Re: Comments and queries re FAQ for Non-resident income tax

Hi Neville, How do you do the payment when you submit the form? I usually do "To Deposit" and then press the "Complete Payment" button. When I'm finished, I check my bank account and see that the amount has been debited immediately. If you use the Direct Debit option, I'm not sur...

Re: Comments and queries re FAQ for Non-resident income tax

Hi Neville, We are residents of the US and have always used 24% tax rate. I've just checked the instructions, and it looks like residents of the EU use 19%. (Who knows what it will be after Brexit). You may want to confirm that with the experts on this form, like Beachcomer. One other different betw...

Re: Comments and queries re FAQ for Non-resident income tax

I am now limbering up to complete Modelo 210 for rental income. One further point has arisen. I note that in your worked example for 2017 you needed to fill in a Modelo 210 for every quarter. My question is, if in a particular quarter there was no rental income, do you still need to complete and su...

Right. Not to mention the formal "you" and it's plural! :?

tu = you
vosotros = you
usted = you
ustedes = you

Ay!

Re: "tu" or "su"

Ti Is the object pronoun. In English this would also be you but the difference is its function in a sentence. You love her. You is the subject pronoun, in other words, the person doing the action. In Spanish tu He loves you. Here you is the object pronoun and the action is being done to you. In Spa...
