Tiler recommendations/costs

We are currently in the process of buying a place in Coin. Its in very good condition but we would like to re-tile the ground floor. The existing tiled floor is in good condition so the plan is to tile over tile. Can anyone recommend a good tiler in the Coin area and does anyone have any idea of the...

Re: Eurona satellite option

Evaready, thanks for the info. Would you say that the lower speeds were generally after you had exceeded your (incorrect) limit? That would make sense as they do say it will throttle back to 256k or 3Mb if on the bigger package. What would you say is the average speed? Hoping for an average above 4m...

Re: Eurona satellite option

Chris, I haven’t seen it advertised anywhere. I did ask about WiMAX but that’s not available. Who are your providers?

Eurona satellite option

After two years of decent IPTV/internet coverage through Movistar 3g we have now moved to a new house (Carratraca)and all Is great except we now get a very poor 3G signal (fluctuating between 1-2g with an external omnidirectional Ariel) so we are looking at new options. Looking at the eurona satelli...

Re: Former Iberbanda Customers

Iris Mary,
Thanks, sounds like we won’t be as isolated as I thought. Chatted to neighbors and they confirmed they have WiMAX and it performs more or less as you described.

Re: Former Iberbanda Customers

irismary,

we are about to make the opposite change from you. We are currently on Movistar 3g and it works well but the village we are moving to has a very poor 3g signal. However, our neighbours seem to have a Wimax antenna. How have you found this solution, what kind of speed do you get?

Re: 3g boosters

Olive We use a movistar 3g router , provided by a company called Eurona, it is generally okay but does drop off now and then. We are in direct line of site of the mast and usually get between 5-13meg indicated in a speed check, though it may be capped at 10. its fine for phone calls, internet and IP...

3g boosters

We currently use a movistar 3g router on an unlimited download contract for all our iptv and internet needs. Not the cheapest but all that's available at decent speed in Ardales. However, we plan to move along the valley to Carratraca and the movistar signal, whilst good in the valley, is a lot weak...

IPTV Blocking

I currently use a MAG box for IPTV and the channel list i have is usually very reliable. However this week the tv channels have regularly been blocked. My friend in Germany uses the same provider and it seems that Sky have applied some new tech to all IPTV streamers in Europe and whenever a live gam...

Re: Tv Top boxes MAG 254

Be aware, this week SKY have applied new tech and every live channel has been blocked this week whenever a live football game kicks of. My IPTV channel list which has been solid as a rock on my MAG 254 box has been effected. Video channels still work as they are recorded but all tv channels are lock...

Re: Buying a brand new car!

With the latest UK stats showing more than 85% of new cas being bought on PCP's, are these also common here in Spain and what financial status would you need for finance as a foreigner living here? Anyone know?

Spanish mortgages

We have been renting in Andalucia for almost a year now and long term have changed our plans to consider buying here now. We both have decent military pensions and a good income from a small portfolio of UK properties. We could sell UK properties to finance a purchase out here but as the income is g...

Re: Iberbanda Wimax

We did consider the WiMAX option as we are also in the campo. However, we decided upon the movistar 3g router option. Its unlimited (60 Euros a month) and fairly reliable. Obviously it depends upon your 3g connection. We do have the odd issue, mostly when there is a fiesta in the village which attra...

Non pensioners healthcare

As I understand the current rules, as non UK pensioners we have to have residencia, pay private health care for a year and then we can apply to join the state system here in Andalucia. Succinct I know but is this basically correct? Is it this simple and does anyone expect this will continue post Bre...
