Re: Martos, Jaen - Help needed

Hi Paul,

I would be happy to help. It depends when. We are currently in Malta but will return to Martos shortly. We have a house there so do not need accommodation and would be able to monitor activity for you. Email me direct on denisf@go.net.mt and we can discuss.

Regards,

Denis and Nadja

Sailing

Having just moved to Martos I am interested in continuing my love of sailing. Is anyone aware of sailing possibilities (clubs or facilities) inland in Andalucia. I am aware of AFAN at Lake Vinuela but that is two hours away at best.

Many thanks.

Re: Moving to Martos

Hello, I chose Martos mainly because I like the region and the house has a large garden, which my apartment does not. Yes, olive trees abound, as far as the eye can see and it is quite elevated (750m) so summer will not be quite as hot as where I am (Malta).

Thank you for advice re refrigerator.

Moving to Martos

I am coming to Martos this week to finalise the purchase of a house and will be living there. I would appreciate contact from English speakers in Martos for general advice and in particular where I might by a refrigerator.

Re: Martos buses

Thank you,

It seems that Alsa buses depart hourly from Granada airport. Their buses from Jaen to Martos are only once a day. I will call the other company when I am there for the local details.

Martos buses

I am in the process of buying a house in Martos and am looking for bus timetables from Martos to Jaen and Granada. I have searched published time tables but found conflicting and confusing information. Any advice appreciated.
