La Caixa

Just got a call from La Caixa asking me to pop into my branch to sign an authorisation form regarding Data use and protection. Anyone else had this and what did you take with you if anything.

And the same can be said of a great many of these "anti virus" companies. Strange that! But as I said its personal preference and I think I'll stick with worlds largest search engine to help in keeping my browsing safe. I can't find any where that the company in your link challenging Googl...

Re: Translation of PDF to English

I'm sure you have, however seeing as Google is the most popular search engine by a country mile, with a 92% market share I tend to trust them in matters such as this. They don't flag sites as "dangerous" for no good reason. If the site had no issues and is as you say "clean" you ...

Re: Translation of PDF to English

The URL and the installation file both show as 'clean'. If you download it from some dodgy third party download site like Cnet or Softpedia it is very likely to have junk bundled with it. I said the URL comes up as "dangerous" via several browsers with the URL you posted which it did and ...

Re: Translation of PDF to English

Careful as that site has repeatedly come up as "dangerous" for me on varied browsers so I didn't risk it.

Re: ID cards for resident Brits?

Had a quick look at the website which gives a link to the one needed for an appointment. Filled in my details and was offered an choice of appointments for 3, 4 or 5th March. This is at the Torre del Mar police station. So no long waiting times for an appointment at the moment. Will probably change...

Re: La Caixa bank transfers

I don't know the exact details but a couple I know sold their house recently and had real hassles with their bank incidentally Santander who would only allow them to transfer 20k at a time every 3 days. They said it was a new "money laundering directive" that only came in the week before. ...

Re: PAYG Orange Sim

All sorted thanks all. Went online registered account, went into account which showed that the balance was as I quoted above but showed that NO calls had been made and NO Data had been used, so no explanation could be seen from there. Went to Orange shop who looked ands could only see what I could s...

Re: PAYG Orange Sim

Is it using data? Not as far as I'm aware. The phone is the NOKIA 3310 and has never ever been connected to the internet. In fact not been used in any way apart from having the Spanish Sim fitted, no incoming or outgoing calls at all. Just odd to use exactly 6€ on nothing that I can see in just 10 ...

PAYG Orange Sim

I bought a new PAYG Spanish SIM from Orange 2 weeks ago and they fitted it in the local Orange shop and it cost 20 euros. A few days later I dialled the *111# to check the balance which showed €20. Since then I have not had the need to use the phone and have made and received ZERO calls and just tod...

Re: Dental implants

What!!!! €164 for an implant.......that is an utterly unbelievably low price, I'd be questioning and asking to see the materials used first. My son has just had 2 implants in U.K needed as the result of an accident, his total bill was £2,800 for both.
