occasional internet access

hi folks what's the best way for accessing internet when staying at holiday home in Valle de Lecrin area. ideally we'd love to be able to stream iplayer/NowTV etc as well as the usual browsing. I don't seem to be able to find a PAYG deal that gives enough download for streaming or alternatively a mo...

Re: Day trip to Sierra Nevada

we drive up regularly to ski/snowboard using standard tyres and hire car. they usually keep the road clear as far the pradollano (the resort) but chains needed beyond there if the weather has been bad (or good depending on you perspective)

'At about 6pm we found a very nice little bar on the north side of the Rio Genil called the Rincón de Cristóbal. Great choice of beer, cider and wine. They insisted on us trying their Tapas while we got on with the crossword' .... you're living the dream (bring on retirement!)

Re: quorn products

that's very kind of you, thanks for the info
wonder why it's so hard to get veggie mince in mainstream Spanish supermarkets? you'd've thought vegetarianism would be on the rise these days. perhaps I'm limiting my options by just seeking out Quorn products. happy to try other brands!

Re: quorn products

thanks both, we're in the lecrin valley, so pass most options between there and Malaga airport every couple of months. it's the mince that is most missed as it's so versatile. i'll have a look in Iceland (assuming there's one between Malaga and Motril)

we used them from Birmingham, very pleased with staff and luggage allowance. some cringeworthy sales patter from the cabin staff reading from script offering 'great deals not available in the shops' but other than that - no problema

Re: Malaga car hire.

just returned to uk having had another good experience with RecordGo. there was a bit of a hard sell on the excess insurance which we always politely decline as we have our own annual policy to cover any excess. otherwise all good. I especially like that (if you ask) they stamp your agreement "...

Re: flu jab

Don't forget it's also about preventing passing the virus on. You may well fight the flu off yourself but in the process you'll have passed it on to dozens including eventually the very young, old or otherwise vulnerable. Every year thousands die from flu in the U.K. alone. If you get the chance (or...
