Someone suggested to me that it might be an Adder, (Common Viper). The pattern on the snake looks in between that shown for the Horseshoe whip and the Adder...so not sure.

Snake on Bougainvillea

Snake on Terrace

This little fella was spotted on our bougainvillea by one of the dogs.
It was about 80cm long by 2cm diameter I would say.
Any idea what type of snake it is ?
Sorry for the quality of the photo, I didn't like to get too close.....just in case :problem:

Re: Flying a dog from U.K. to Malaga

Think that is too large for cabin, but should be able to go in hold, if you don't mind that ?
According to their website, it's 75 pounds per dog to Spain, which sounds similar to what we paid.

Re: Flying a dog from U.K. to Malaga

When we moved to Spain 2 years ago, we flew by Iberia from Gatwick to Malaga via Madrid with our Yorkie. If it's a small dog, you are allowed to have the dog in a dog container on your knee. The website specified what size the dog container should be. As I remember, it was not very expensive. https:...

Re: Best currency transfer companies for buying property

I have used FC Exchange(Global Reach) and Travelwise, found them to be both pretty good. I find particular with Global Reach, you can haggle on the exchange rate. Travelwise rate is the mid-market rate, which is probably best rate you can get, though they charge a fee. Global Reach don't charge a fe...

Experience with Lobster mobile

Back in January there were some posts on the Lobster mobile supplier. I don't think Lobster had been going long then, so I wondered what people's experience of it was now that it has been running a few months and whether they would recommend it?

Can anyone recommend a Pool Cover supplier in the Axarquia area? I am looking for a bubble wrap type summer cover for my 8 by 4 pool.

Re: Applying for a Blue Badge in Spain

My wife can walk short distances, but anything more than about 5 minutes, she needs either her wheelchair or some sort of support.

I have seen several people with the badges who are not wheelchair bound, but have limited mobilty like my wife.

Applying for a Blue Badge in Spain

I wonder if anyone has applied for a disabled parking Blue Badge in Spain and how easy they found the process.
My wife is still using her Blue Badge from the UK, but that runs out later this year, so we really need to apply for a Spanish Blue Badge.

ITV Documents

Can anyone tell me exactly which documents you need for an ITV?
I have had one done before, but I wasn't sure, so took everything to do with the car with me, which the guy sorted thru.
Be nice just to take just the required documents this time.

Re: Messi

Messi is a great club player, but I still also rate Pele and Maradona above him. They displayed their skills and dominated games at international level in a way that Messi never has. The best British player I ever saw live was Best, who was a fantastic player. I think if he the chance of displaying ...

I suspect with it's age and problems that no charity would take it, think you would be best following Enrique's 2nd option. 15 years old is pre-historic in computer terms.

Re: Buying a rural property - are any legal??

If you can find someone who will buy without a DAFO, that's great, but I wouldn't bet on it. I think anyone buying without one, knowing that one is needed is pretty silly, they are only passing on the problem until they come to sell. It is a requirement that you have a new type Septic Tank, in fact ...

Re: Buying a rural property - are any legal??

We bought our house in the campo just over 18 months ago and even though it had all the building permissions, etc, our solicitor told us that we needed to ensure that the house had a DAFO. He then told the venders that if they wished to sell it they would need to apply for one, which they did. As th...

Re: UK driving licences valid in Spain?

Important to note that this legislation only comes into force in the event of the UK leaving the EU without a deal. If a deal is agreed then it won't apply, hopefully the agreement between the EU and the UK will cover our status in Spain, health, etc.

Re: Dual Euro state nationality

As has been mentioned in a previous posting, if you have dual nationality, (one of which is an EU on), and you wish to remain an EU citizen, you will need to get your Residencia updated to show your EU citizenship. I am in the process of applying for an Irish Passport. My parents were Irish, and the...
