Pretty much! I've watched a great video on making Toum, that just uses oil, garlic, salt and lemon juice and looks exactly like what I'm looking for :D

Re: Alioli

Although it is often made like a mayonnaise with egg I have heard Spanish say it should be made without the egg and a friend said they make it with milk, oil, lemon juice and garlic. I think there are a lot of different versions of it and the ones that I am given in our local restaurants always see...

Re: Alioli

Aha, seems to be the Lebanese garlic sauce, Toum, which is egg free...
Never heard of it before but I think it beats the egg version hands down...pun intended ;)

Anyhoo, it's yummy...!

Alioli

Hi all

Looking to buy or recreate an alioli I had recently....it was very light and very white - I can't describe it other than it didn't seem very mayonnaise-y?

Can anyone enlighten me please

Re: Thoughts on Iznajar?

I live in Iznájar...I would suggest you speak to both Lesley Minto of Sunset Country Properties (lives in the village and also has a BnB) as well as Miguel Angél Escamilla Aguilera of APD Properties...both agents live here and have fantastic local knowledge. They'll be able to give you any idea of f...

Re: Punto Limpio

Update:
Dropped the lot at Antequerra, great service from staff who helped unload. Accepted rubble, as does our village one, no problems :)

And no, Gasman, no place to use it as we have no land :(

Thanks guys, appreciate your posts!
Just a private car with rubble from a (legally removed!) Internal wall that's in the way and I'm keen to move now rather than wait until tomorrow evening :)

Punto Limpio

Stupid question but.....can you use any punto limpio? Ours is only open certain days and, with it being shut today for the holiday, could do with getting rid of some stuff sooner rather than later. Wondered if they were 'territorial' at all :?

Re: Quick question re licence exchange

Hi all
Just back from Tráfico now - did not need a medical!
Have been issued with a temporary authorisatuon to drive and told the plastic card will take a couple of weeks to come through.
Again, great service, in and out in half an hour (2 people)....
Cheers :)

Re: Quick question re licence exchange

Thanks for clearing that up Elusive! I've now had the email that my Spanish licence is ready to collect from Córdoba so I've made a Trámites appointment for Monday...I'll let those interested know whether a medical is then needed :)

Re: Quick question re licence exchange

I was certainly expecting to have to do one, yes....but the staff member was absolutely adamant that because of the length of time left on my UK entitlement, and my age, that I didn't need one. Be interesting if that changes upon collection, I'll let you know!

Re: Quick question re licence exchange

Córdoba DGT. Yes, was expecting to be asked to do medical but they said not necessary as so many years left on UK entitlement. They'll issue one for 10 years, after which I'll need to do a medical to renew. All sorted within an hour, 40 mins of which was the wait at Policia. All staff in both office...
