Beach, I guess there will be a bit of horse trading between the relevant authorities to sort that out.

Re: Local bank closing ... how do I?!

If you insist on paying by cash I suggest waiting until you are near Velez and calling into your bank in that town. For sure they will not close that branch.

A note Wollie, most jabs for that part of the world need to be 28 days before you travel to have maximum effect.

Re: Shingles Vaccination

Shingles is very similar to the chicken pox virus. You can get it again but very unusual. Very painful, my wife had it when she was 40. Not just the oldies who get it.

Re: Pavement / table tax for cafes

Anyway, I have never been able to understand the attraction of sitting at a table by the side of the road drinking disgusting coffee and scoffing calorie laden junk food amongst the exhaust fumes and noise of traffic passing by a couple of metres away. But not all are on pavements by busy roads. So...

Re: Pavement / table tax for cafes

A friend has a bar in Malaga city centre. 4 tables outside, if they go outside that area they get fined and its quite a big fine. Stay in the meterage and it’s ok.

Look in the free papers, SUR etc have lots of adverts. Teletec are supposed to be good but I think they are a bit expensive.

Re: Bilbao ferry/overnight stay. Any tips please?

2 hours to do 110km should be fine but with any long journey in rush hour there can be pitfalls. Accidents on main roads entering cities is quite common. Also if a car breaks down the tailbacks seem to be massive in no time.

I don't like towing so I have a 4 door Navarra pick up. More money but can go anywhere and carries a tonne.

Jump leads/ booster cable.

Does anyone know if you can carry jump leads/ booster cables in your hand luggage on a flight. I have a really expensive set that I want to bring home but don't want them taking off me at security. Airport security have some bizarre rules on what you can carry regarding tools etc.

Re: tyre

Yeah but it saved the company from buying one. They could just bill him for the price of the tyre as if they had to buy it then the o.p can claim it back. But they were never going to buy one. it was down to the drivers expense as it always is with a rental car. They would have added it on to his r...
