This is indeed our plan Pamela1.
Fortunately we are very lucky that, if we choose to, we can keep a foot in both the UK.
It is a big decision and one which will evolve over time: knowing that we have this option helps makes us feel that we are not putting all our eggs in one basket.

I think if expats are struggling to make ends meet in Spain they would be financially better off in UK because of benefit top ups. Eg.
