Re: Property valuation

It does look like Beachcomber is correct. It is all dragging on. It may well be I have to send the legalised document by courier to Spain. Anybody with experience of doing this?

Re: Property valuation

I've now been told the only true valuation is the cadastral value on the IBI?

Property valuation

My close friend died 7 weeks ago. She was UK resident with a house in Spain. Her Spanish will leaves everything to me. In her English will there is no mention of the house in Spain. I've been trying to get a Spanish estate agent to do me a valuation for the English probate but I'm getting blank look...

Re: Death, what now?

A further thought. The house in Spain is not mentioned in the English will. Do i have to declare it for English probate?

Re: Death, what now?

I'm not tax resident, I believe the house is worth about 180,000 euros and was purchased 20 years ago. When I started this thread I called her my best friend. It was much deeper than that and I have every intention of following her will.

Re: Death, what now?

Sorry, Beach, know you meant well. Thanks Sid.

She wasn't resident in Spain, just a holiday home. She has died in the UK so they are not aware of it yet.

Death, what now?

Sadly my best friend died suddenly at the weekend. She has a house in Iznate. Her Spanish will names me as the "universal heir to her assets". Although I have visited Spain and her house many times in the past 20 years I have not had the need to get an NIE number or anything like that. Not...

Re: Washing machine spares Velez Malaga

Took door to Cumarjus yesterday morn, they said come back at six. Went back, part fitted. Perfect. I understand the comments about ordering online but a washing machine is used regularly and by doing it this way hopefully my other half will not find out how clumsy I was.

Cast on Android 9

Like many I use miracast in Spain connected to a Win 10 tablet. I've recently bought a Huawei Y6 smartphone running Android 9 and although there are lots of instructions/videos online telling me how to connect non of them appear to be applicable. I've also read Google have disabled the facility. Any...

Re: Financial Advisors...Again.

I've had the same company in the U.K. for financial advice for over 20 years and have done very nicely. I'm always happy to tell someone that I stop short of a recommendation in the same way I would not recommend my Dentist!
