Just a game

If you can afford to go and play at all the courses you mention, then I've no doubt that you don't mind paying. Some people are not quite as fortunate. If you pay the rates you are accustomed to, then you will get only one type of player there, the ones I do not a have a lot in common with. I have p...

Eureka!

I have just got home from work, logged into this forum and found all this drivel. It suddenly struck me that I should never come back to Andalucia.com again.

Estoy harto de toda esta mierda, me largo.

Adios

Pros and cons

Try living in rip-off Britain for a while! First frosts forecast for this coming Thursday! Council tax doubled in 2005! Last week I saw a filling station in Chelsea selling petrol @ 129.9 p/litre! Yay! There are pros and cons to where ever you live. I am sure some Spaniards would post equally depre...

Re: sick of spain

Strange thing happening to this thread? The oringinal poster's details have been removed, but the post is still there. Weird. True, but equally there thousands of Brits living out there quite happily, that can't put two words of Spanish together! The original poster gave his location as los Cañadas,...

Re: sick of spain

I think that was one of many reasons he gave. It would seem to be a culmination of many things, not sure why you have picked out just the language thing, trying to make it sound as if that was the only reason for him leaving. :? I would imagine not being able to speak Spanish, or having only a smat...

What exactlyl are you sick of?

Would be interested to know why exactly you are sick of Spain? It is always good to have different points of view on the country. See that you live near Sevilla, has it got anything to do with the area in general?

no transcripts as yet

I have searched high and low on the Internet, but could not find anything anywhere for the programme you mentioned. If anyone comes across the programme and links to it on the net please post.
Thanks

Which show?

Which show was it on? Might be able to get a transcript or see it again on line, depending on which channel it was on.

Costa de la luz

Annabell We have also explored the Costa de la Luz (CDL) this year. We spent part of the summer in the Huelva province and have just returned from the Cadiz province. Just to give you an idea of how big the CDL is we have clocked over 4500miles doing general tours and we only covered a small fractio...

Alcaidesa

Alcaidesa is the links course, which is very close Not played it, but overlooked it, looked very appealing to me. I know someone that has played this course, and said it was very nice. It can be played for about the 60 euro mark if booked over the internet. The course web site is a bit swish. Some ...

Naturally the course is top notch, it costs 270 euros to play a round, keeps it fairly exclusive. Having played quite a few courses around the world I have a fair idea of a top notch club. The fact that it costs 270 euros is certainly not a way to rate the standard of the course. Have played quite a...

Links course?

Not sure that I would class Valderrama as a links course, expenisve and downright snobby yes, but not links. Have played quite a few courses in Spain and none could be classed as links. Portugal has a few.

Very sad!

Yes, I am replying to my own post, but thought that I would give some information on my experience at Valderrama this year. Might help others that want to go next year. Firstly I visited on the Thursday with my wife and two children aged 11 and 9 years. The weather was excellent for watching golf. W...

Golf club membership in Spain

Golf appears to be very much an upper class game in Spain, geared towards rich Spaniards and the tourists in the south. Does anyone know whether there are any clubs that cater for the average Jose?

Where in Wales are you if you are so far from Cardiff & Bristol? - Are you closer to North West airports? - Some very cheap flights in & out of those too. The North West airports are the ones we tend to use, Liverpool in particular. In fact we are off to Liverpool in a couple of hours, even...

Best for price?

At the end of the day you have to shop around all the airlines to find the best prices, and go further than the initial stages that show flight prices only. Must admit that I have never found BA to be cheaper than EJ! Was there a special offer on or something? You just have to scan the net for the b...

Difference

Easyjet certainly seem to be a bit more expensive, but not that much more. Ryanair's prices seem to jump up quite a bit with the added taxes. We have used both these companies and were happy with the service provided. Our big problem is that we live a long way from London so we miss out on some of t...

I'm in West Wales, and it was good. I am on Anglesey and we tend to be a bit worse off than yourselves, however, yesterday and today it has got upt to 21C. Clear blue sky. Strange weather this. Also, when one has a look at the various online weather sites I wonder at their figures? Best asking some...
