Re: Travel vaccinations

Woolie, where are you based? Helicopteros Sanitarios do vaccinations at their Marbella clinic. Make sure you get the certificate. Also available in Gibraltar at a private clinic.

Re: Shingles Vaccination

No, but reoccurrence is quite rare. Shingles in the facial nerve is really nasty. You can lose the sight in that eye and also get Bells Palsy which causes one side of your face to droop and you can end up unable to close your eye. It happened to a close friend recently and he has never really recov...

Re: Pavement / table tax for cafes

I have been in a few places in Marbella and they had different prices for drinking inside or out. I thought it was because of extra work for the waiters, never thought about taxes.

A blast from the past. A thread started by poor Ken, sadly departed. Informative and funny.

Re: Best supermarket wine

You can't really go wrong with any of the Lidl wines as long as they are not the really cheap ones. The ones I like are the red Tulga Joven from Toro (2.25), Mezquirez Navarra Rose (1.79) and the white Verdejo from Rueda called Visigodo.. There is an adequate cheap Rueda Verdejo called Oristan, red...

Re: Fresh Local Andalucian Goat Milk

Many years ago there was a Chiringuito on the outskirts of Marbella which had a small farm attached. If anyone asked for a con leche the owner would get it straight from the goat, bit of an aquired taste! Suppose it is not allowed now. Google something like donde se puede comprar leche de cabra en M...

Re: UK moving companies

Heard of David dale a lot of good recommendations. We used https://www.murrayharper.com in Estepona to move back to UK. They even watered two plants I took back for sentimental reasons

Re: Flying a dog from U.K. to Malaga

Best to look at the DEFRA site as only certain airports are allowed to receive animals. Personally I wouldn't fly my dogs again. The last time we brought them by car and came through the tunnel, a lot less stressful. Cost us over £800 to fly two cats, probably higher now.

Perhaps not the appropriate forum to ask then. Must be lots of mental health fora out there.

I would think that anyone going on a course to like themselves more has underlying issues, or is this a joke?

I think it was Banco Popular in San pedro de Alcantara but as I said it was years ago. Knowing how things work it may depend on the individual cashier.

Wouldn't recommend a flat daily rate as I did that once and they spun out the work. I was out one day and neighbour told me they had been sat on sun loungers for over an hour.

Re: Paying Renta Tax Bill in Cash at the bank

It seems cash is ok.

Probably worse seeing as the majority are run by German Companies which have as their main shareholder...the german government. They need the money to subsidise their own countries services.
