Norwegian have a sale today only for flights Dec to March. Malaga is £28 one way from Gatwick. Just booked a Florida break for half the price of BA.

Re: On this Day

Katy, the problem with Ancestry.com is that yes, you can search, but as soon as you find a match, you can't see it unless you sign up.....:-( Yes I was disappointed. I did provide email and got in to view but they were very basic records. Just names in registers, did see one relative who was presum...

Re: 20 Shades of Green.......

I believe if you eat a good balanced diet vitamins should not be needed. Some of my friends take various health products which they claim are fantastic but then move on to the latest best new product. I don't think you can avoid germs, simple things like handling change at the shop, magazines in the...

Re: 20 Shades of Green.......

I don't bother about dates for winter, it starts for me when the clocks go back, especially this time when there was a touch of frost the same morning. My Best Buy in Spain was a set of winceyette pyjamas from Dunnes stores, pale pink with black poodle dogs on but never worn them since I left Spain....

Re: Cruise Travel Agents

I was just trying to be helpful. 50 years is a real milestone, not many achieve it. Best to do a search with someone like cruise.co.uk and then book directly with the shipping line. The most interesting seem to leave from Barcelona.

Re: 20 Shades of Green.......

I dislike winter in both places. Swings and roundabouts. Agree with Masterob about the cold houses. Have spent some lovely days eating on the beach in Spain but equally some endless bad weather days. Eating in cold empty restaurants with our coats on. I don't like the dark nights and preferred Spain...

Re: Cruise Travel Agents

Different people have different expectations, no I haven't experienced it first hand, neither am I likely to, nor Thompson. There are hundreds of negative reviews on the web for Pullmantour. Mainly with the same complaints. Perhaps you just got a lucky week or two. I couldn't think of anything worse...

Re: Cruise Travel Agents

I would urge caution with Pullmantour. Has had a dreadful reputation. Now been taken over by Royal Carribbean but still the same tired, old ships. Know some who went on it from Malaga, buffet food slop, bun fights to get near it, not enough seating. Constant loudspeakers giving info in 3 or more lan...

Re: flu jab

One year in Spain there was no vaccine to be had. Was during the recession and they were only doing priority cases. I got the jab at a clinic in Gibraltar and it cost £25!!

Is Spain a bit late starting the jabs, or was UK too early. Had mine early Sept.

Yes it was a traumatic time. When he had MRI scan he was taken to oncology, showed us the mass on his spine and said they thought it was a secondary cancer and needed to look for primary. Had a full CT scan an hour later and was told to go home whilst they studied it. Phone call at 7pm consultant sa...

Katy, Newbies, a bit green, Norwegian have been in Business for almost 25 years, i can't comment on the website because my wife normally deals with that, but your comment that they are certainly no frills floored me, I've travelled (very extensively) over the past 30 years or so and I would grade t...

Re: Cataract operation

Miri, OH had MRSA this year and had never been near a hospital. He was seriously ill before diagnosis, complained of acute pain in chest so they were testing heart and lungs, also tropical diseases as we were in Caribbean Dec and Africa Jan. His blood tests showed a high white cell count and ordinar...

Both courses are fairly flat. I have only played at Los Olivos. Not much of a golfer though, more a social one :) OH is more serious and he prefers Los Lagos which is longer.

Re: Norwegian Air

You have to pay to choose seats and can check in online. We did this for flights to Fort Lauderdale and Puerto Rico. Didn't bother on Malaga flight, not worth it for a couple of hours, don't mind where I sit. New aircraft but staff a bit green as if they are newbies. Agree the website is rubbish and...

Re: Golf course suited to novices

Alhaurin is probably one of the most steepest courses in Andalucia. Buggy absolutely essential, unless under 40 :D Take lots of balls as you will lose plenty.

For a Novice I would recommend Mijas golf. Nice easy course.

I am amblivament to the proceedings, no view either way but it has not been good PR for Spain. Smashing into schools to destroy ballot papers, even videos of them pushing people downst...
