There were some filling stations in the UK that got found out for cloning chip and pin cards. They would swipe the card (to read the data) then insert the card in the chip reader but have the security camera angled just right to record the pin as it was entered. Use your other hand to cover the keyp...

Won't it depend on who is actually attending the meeting? You should get as many like-minded attendees as you can.

Well a few years ago we got persuaded to buy a timeshare at a weak moment. This was on a narrowboat on a canal in the midlands. The main reason for persuasion was that we were told we could have a complete refund 3 years later if we did not want to keep it. As it happened, this refund promise turned...

Surely they have to be kept in the right climatic conditions to stop them from drying out (?) When my son was born I wanted to lay down a bottle of port for his 18th, but because I could not afford port, the merchant persuaded me to buy a particular bottle of wine. In 2 years I will find out if it i...

In October I had to throw away a small bottle of water at Gatwick security. On return, at Almeria security I was allowed to walk through with a 1.5l bottle of water. It seems that bombs are not allowed to leave the UK but they are allowed to enter.

If you don't pay these taxes AEAT can go back for four years and impose surcharges and fines for non-payment so it is just not worth the risk. It is also likely from next year that if you sell as a non-resident you will be required to produce a certificate from AEAT to the effect that the taxes hav...

Use pins 3 and 4 of the 6 way connector (RJ11). They are the middle 2 pins. Polarity is not important, but it is good practice to be consistent.
Your biggest problem will be drawing the cabling through the conduits.

A standard water softner exchanges calcium ions with sodium ions. Excessive sodium ions are bad for the heart (like salt). In the UK you are expected to have a drinking water bypass tap in your house. I don't know what the rules are in Spain, but you certainly could not perform that function at the ...

I want (if I can afford it) to fit up 4 rooms. room 1 and 2, are south facing, each are 9m2, and I would prefer to use a 2-1 split system on these. Room 3 is north facing 13m2, and room 4 is north facing and 26m2. I have already received a quote of €3940 + iva for inverter mitsubishi units, which I...

I opened an ING account, and then discovered that Sainsburys Bank had an internet saver account with a higher interest rate, and easier access. With ING you need a nominated bank account for transfers, with SB you can use any account. So my ING account has £1 in it, and thats how it will stay. At th...

I had to give my eldest son a smack in Tesco's (before we came to Sapin) as he was being really destructive and as I also had his baby brother to deal with I wasn't left with much option unless I wanted to pay a huge damages bill.
