Re: Right of way - restrictions?

A similar situation affected friends of ours and after a polite word with them, she was told to go forth and multiply They ended up calling the police after they took a run at one of her dogs and it resulted in them being arrested and jailed - they were growing and manufacturing drugs on a grand sca...

A close relative wants me to do this and I in turn would like to do the same: make each other responsible in the event that either of us becomes unable to manage our own affairs/make our own decisions Do we have to do separate POAs in UK and Spain? Or can we do one her...

Issues with digital certificate

Hello there I've installed the digital certificate onto my pc and have successfully managed to check on my social security contributions etc. However, having tried the Catastro site, it keeps denying me access Can anyone shed some light on this, or suggest where I'm going wrong? Is it perhaps easier...

Re: desperate help no residente bank account

For moving money I used Currencies Direct they take about 2% in Euro ie if the interbank rate is €1.37 to £1 then the exchange is about €1.35 to £1. We openned our bank a/c with Unicaja and used our passports as ID. It was straight forward and excellent customer service. €1.37 to £1...those were th...

Certificado de empresa

Does anyone know if días cotizados should include all 30/31 days of each month worked, or just the actual days worked, i.e. weekdays? My young cousin has just finished a temporary contract that lasted 6 months and it's due to be renewed in October He's also noticed that the first 2 months of his emp...

Re: Certificates of Antiquity - are they worth it?

Bit vague, sorry - I quoted my abogado, who "joked" with me about Spain ignoring manyt EU laws concerning property owners' rights

Aside from that, has anyone managed to obtain a digital signature from the Catastral online office? I'm using Firefox, but no luck so far...

Re: buying beds and bedding

Some really useful posts on this thread. I would agree that memory foam is just too hot for most of the year, unless it 's the new technology latex or the "open foam" mattresses

Re: Certificates of Antiquity - are they worth it?

Thanks Enrique - trouble is, we've already paid for this to be done - to the former architect, who is now up on several charges

So 600 euros to us isn't chump change - as we've already paid 1000's for this to be completed ...

Re: Certificates of Antiquity - are they worth it?

Re: Threatening letter?

I would second getting a Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) - there are two - one covers Health & Welfare, the other Finance & Property. Both my parents had them & my sister & I were Attorneys. This came in handy when we wanted to move Mum from one care home to another - I was told by ...

Certificates of Antiquity - are they worth it?

We were stitched up by our architect (apparently not the only ones to fall foul of this outfit) Long story short, at the end of the project (which was basically a rebuild of a section of our property, due to structural damage) he pronounced everything satisfactory and said he'd be signing off on the...

Re: Threatening letter?

Yes Katy - but I do value many posters opinions on here and it doesn't hurt to get feedback

I would like to stop the care home in its tracks and make them comply without having to complain to ombudsman but of course this may become necessary
