Tryp Barcelona Apolo Hotel was excellent for us. Handily placed and got a really good rate through booking.com.

I took two slightly larger pictures with Easyjet and put them in the hold. I did wrap them very well with bubble wrap and sheets of hardboard. They both made it in good condition.
