Black border around TV screen

We watch all TV via our laptop. We have a two inch wide black border around the picture. Is it possible to get a full screen picture and if so how?

Re: process and cost of updating an escritura

Thanks for the link Wollie but I use this all the time and have multiple print outs which not only detail my property but all the owners of the adjacent properties. Now the guy has made the objection it needs to be officially sorted which apparently means he has to go to a notary to sign a document ...

Re: process and cost of updating an escritura

So I went to the Property Registry to get an updated Nota Simpla only to find that it has not been updated. The biggest problem we have is the escriture says 25,000 mtrs approx and the Nota Simpla 19,800 approx. I contacted my abagado who informed me there was an objection to the change. the objecti...

Re: process and cost of updating an escritura

Hiya Yes we got a 60 Euro fine and some additional IBI bills, but they didn't amount to that much. We do now pay more IBI but again it isn't that much more. The reason for doing it? We are trying to sell and we don't want a buyer walking away because the property is not fully legal. The process took...

Re: process and cost of updating an escritura

We had our escritura updated just over a year ago. We did it via our lawyer. We needed a technical architect to visit to take measurements, photos etc he then wrote a report. Then it was off to a Notary. The whole thing cost about 3,000 Euros. We added a cover over our existing terrace, built a car ...

I've just dumped Filmon

I've subscribed to Filmon for quite some time, never had too many problems with them but their recent shut-down was the last straw. I did manage to cancel my subscription BTW. I now download programmes from findvideo.biz. I did subscribe to them for one month at 20 Euros and hit it hard downloading ...

Re: Changing UK license for Spaniah

So I kept my appointment yesterday, passed over all the required documentation, gave my eMail address and was told I will receive an appointment in about 2 months time to return to finalise the application process. Presumably a temporary licence will then be issued on this 4th visit to the trafico a...

Re: Changing UK license for Spaniah

I went down to Trafico, got an appointment waited a half hour, when my number was called I found it was for information only, but the lady gave me an appointment for 5 July, SO WHERE DID THAT COME FROM? Why does everything official in Spain always seem to take 2/3 visits. They seem to change the sys...

Re: Changing UK license for Spaniah

Well I finally found my way through to download the form. In google I typed DGT Spain and clicked on Translate document. It was then easy to navigate through to the chnge of driving license form. However when I tried to download the PDF form it was a mess. So I then followed the procedure on the DGT...

Changing UK license for Spaniah

I´ve been through the DGT website in Spanish and English and they state that you can download a form to carry out the change over from UK to Spanish Licence. I have looked everywhere in the DGT website and can find nowhere to download forms. Can someone guide me in the right direction please. Your h...

I have some internal walls to clean up prior to repainting, does anybody know of an equivalent product I can buy here in Spain? The wall is over a fireplace so the wall is grimy from soot.

Re: Nicola Sturgeon

Err, Maureenscot, I read no racist posts. Is that not a word that is so over used it has become meaningless. I do believe Nicola Sturgeon is becoming a laughing stock, she is trying to push water uphill both in the UK and in the EU and is doomed to a very expensive failure, still it's not her money ...

Re: Nicola Sturgeon

Nicola Sturgeon is driven by one thing and one thing alone, her hatred of the English and she will drive on regardless of the cost to Scotland. It makes no sense at all that she wants to free Scotland from the UK but into the arms of the EU dictatorship, who have already said the Scotland would need...

Download speed

I'm curious, can someone explain please. If I'm getting a steady internet speed of 3Mbs indicated by a speed test and I download a programme of 350 Mb it should in theory take about two minutes to download I believe but usually takes about twenty minutes. Why does that happen, or have I got it total...
