Re: Muscle relaxants for facial and head pain

I would suggest you go into your Farmacia and ask - take in with you either examples of what you need - even if British supplied as they will be able to look up the Spanish equivalent - or do a Google search to identify what you think you want ... and print out or write down the details. Sorry - not...

Re: non resident car owners

Careful with Wikseys note - if you are non-resident, then officially you cannot sign on to the padron with the town hall since you are not a permanent resident of their town - so you cannot back up your ID with the Padron. Also the vehicle should be registered to your house so that IBI vehicle tax c...

Nobody seems to have mentioned Las Setas - the view from the walkways on the top is nothing short of splendid ... here is the link. You have to pay your small fee at the basement kiosk and take the lift from there - at the side of the underground antiquities display and the gift shop. http://www.and...

ITV change - no letter of notification

Greetings to all ITV inspection users - my car was due for its six monthly check, and I have been waiting for the very regular and very useful letter to turn up to remind me of the date etc, and I just realised that the letter has not arrived and my cita previa needs to be on or before next Monday!!...

Re: the cost of inhalers for asthma

Hi Baggies - welcome to the forum - as a UK pensioner, you should be able to sign onto the spanish health service using your S1 from Dept Works and Pensions, Newcastle, after you have completed the formalities for becoming resident ... see other posts about this elsewhere on the forum. Once in the h...

Re: Bottled gas - how does it work?

Also it sounds like your water heater may not have been active for some time when you get there with your new batteries. Having changed your gas bottle, the tube from the bottle will be empty of gas and it may take longer than you expect for it to get through to the water heater for ignition of the ...

Re: nota simple

You didnt say OP why you need it now, if you do, or are you just wondering what it is ... As I understand it, it is normally issued at the time of transaction on a property sale, and is not normally something you would need to update - it is automatically done at the next transaction along with the ...

Just check before you set off to get a new one, that you do not already have one - ours was at the back of the folder that the notary gave us containing the escritura ... It is a separate sheet of paper, ours was stapled to the back inside cover of the folder, and clearly titled Nota Simple - it is ...

Re: Neighbours taking me to court - Acto de conciliación

Sounds like you really need an english speaking spanish lawyer by your side for the April Conciliation and to get your act in gear with him/her beforehand as to exactly what your position is within spanish law and how best to present your case, which of course the abogado will do for you at the hear...

Re: Mobile Home Parks

Spanish campsites vary enormously as to size, organisation, crammed to capacity, or neatly laid out. One near us for instance looks lovely on the webpage, but in reality is horrendous!!! I suggest when you have searched and found what you fancy, do a google maps with satellite image to see exactly w...

Re: Proof in England re vehicle replating

Did the vehicle have an MOT done in the UK in your name - would that be useful to show that YOU had THAT vehicle in the UK within the last 12 months? It has been asked before for a person to go to a British Consulate and sign an affidavit that they have come to Spain from the UK, having lived in the...

What upsets me greatly is that no account is taken of people who do not have direct relatives - ie parents dead, no children ... It should be then allowed that NEAREST relatives could be re-categorized for such people.

Re: Official documentation of reaching pension age

It still comes down to whether the Plan is reliant on Lavanda becoming 65, as she seems to understand, OR reliant on receipt of her pension - the spanish only get to pensionable age at 65, hence the slight clash in the wording. If it is clearly stated on the plan that it is at age 65, full stop - th...

Re: Living Permanently in a Mobile Home ?

Depends on how they want to use their money - can be a very good lifestyle, though not so sure for the winter months when the place may well be mostly empty as few will actually live there all the time, and facilities may well shut down from October to Easter ... It is generally thought of as a good...
