Re: Avoiding the centre of Madrid

There are three motorways that circumnavigate Madrid. the M30 which is the most inner and by far the busiest, M40, which is the one I usually take and the M50. The M30 is the best if you want to stop off and see a little bit of the city.
Have a good journey.

Re: speeding

When I hire a car in the UK, i understand by giving them my credit card details, any fine I might be subject to, the hire company will recoup the fine directly from it. Never had a fine so I personally cannot confirm if this is correct. In Spain, I believe it’s possible for the authorities to take t...

Re: World Cup in UHD on BBC Iplayer

Didn't work for me. In fact on most gadgets I wasn't happy with the quality of the stream. Buffering was a problem as well. Eventually after rebooting both routers, I got a high quality stream on the Fire TV and watched most of the brilliant Spain Portugal match in high quality with no buffering. It...

Re: "tu" or "su"

'¿Qué pasa contigo?' isn't an anomaly but another way of saying the same thing and correct Spanish. In English you could also use What's up with you? to say What's wrong with you. Having a little knowledge of grammar goes a long way when you want to learn a foreign language. 'Like' is really difficu...

Re: Breaking down on the motorway

Just found that there is a Linea Directa app, for Android probably an iPhone one as well. Once it is setup up, which you can do now at home, it just need a few taps of the screen to call a grua to your exact location. No voice input needed so ideal for when you are at the side of the autovia and ca...

Re: The Premier League on Amazon Prime.

Of course, they might increase the subscription but I think I read it’s possible to pay for a month at £7.99. That might be worth it to watch a few games over Christmas.

The Premier League on Amazon Prime.

Amazon Prime have got the rights to show about 20 premier league games from the season after next.
If they only charge £79 a year as they do now and show them in UHD, it might be worth subscribing.

I tried it with unblockus and it didn’t work but It was working with one of my Smart DNS servers when I tried it some weeks ago. I would also assume that if you are only using a VPN on the Ipad, it will only work on the Ipad. The router would need to be set up with some sort of VPN or DNS server as ...

Re: Netflix Query

It’s not necessary to use a VPN to watch Netflix in Spain. The reson why some people use one is that it’s possible to change the content available. It’s actually a great and probably the simplest way to watch TV in the English language without having to pay too much and in your case, free because yo...

Re: "tu" or "su"

The Spanish may well not be interested in grammar but they have to study it at school therefore have a much better knowledge of it than the English I’m not sure why people there consider vosotros to be posh because it’s the correct way to say you in the second person plural. Nothing posh about that ...

Re: "tu" or "su"

Thanks for correcting me.i should have realised because Te quiero and para ti are pronounced differently. Of course it just adds to how confusing it all can be for English speakers because in English all of them are you as well as the second person plural which is also you . Vosotros / vosotras Os W...

Re: "tu" or "su"

Ti Is the object pronoun. In English this would also be you but the difference is its function in a sentence. You love her. You is the subject pronoun, in other words, the person doing the action. In Spanish tu He loves you. Here you is the object pronoun and the action is being done to you. In Span...

Re: "tu" or "su"

Tu and Su is correct
Tu means your in the second person singular
Su is normally used in the third person singular but can be also used in as a more formal or polite way of saying tu
Tu can also be you in the second person singular and es or usted can be used if you want to speak more formally

Re: Ryanair Flights & Entering Passport Information

With many companies even though you need to drop off suitcases, Checkin and Passport details have to be done online.
You can’t just turn up at the airport and checkin at the checkin desk

I’ve always tended to use the Ireland and Italian ones although I have used The Spanish one as well.
I tried various to try and get better results with SkyGo without success.
