Re: Itchy Feet..

Come and live here in the Basque Country
France is so near, you can pop across the border anytime you want.
In fact, that’s exactly what I have done today and I’m writing this while sat in a bar in Hendaya looking out on France to the east and Spain to the west

Dental implants are cheaper in Spain. I have one and the dentist who did it told me loads of British come to Spain to have them done.

Re: Ryanair industrial action July

We flew with Ryanair and my son bought some bottles of Guinness to bring back to Spain in the duty free in Dublin airport with no problem.
It's the only way to do it if you don't want to risk bottles being broken in your suitcase by baggage handlers.

Yes, I live in northern Spain but I don’t live everywhere in Northern Spain.
To travel to Galicia is probably 5-6 hours by car. A litle more than that and you can drive to the North of Andalucia.

Premiership on the radio

This year, as the last, premiership football is received through Deezer , who have the rights for Spain so no VPN needed. For you phone, download the App. You need to sigh in cause it is a similar service to Tunein. You can listen to any match, useful if you follow one of the smaller teams or want t...

If you already have a contract with Movistar, it might be worth checking what they have

Thinks changed after the crisis. I’ve met people here who have been refused residency because they haven’t got work lined up.

Re: Ryanair industrial action July

A big case is needed for various reasons. If you are spending over a week away or sometimes it might be a shopping trip.

Recent trips
London 2 day shopping trip, big case needed.
Dublin 4 weeks, big case needed.
London 4 days, small case.
Ibiza 1 week, small case.

Re: Ryanair industrial action July

The 20kg case already costs 70 euros extra and when I take one with Easyjet or Ryanair, I usually ask them to check in the smaller one as well at the check in desk to avaid having to take it with me through security.

Makes no difference because I have to wait at the belt anyway.

Re: SmartyDNS

They don't unblock the UK Netflix, only the USA one. More often and not the region settings don't work apart from Smart DNS' USA setting. I have changed the settings to UK in UnblockUs but I'm still getting the Spanish site. I think Smart DNS is one of the only ones that can circumnavigate the geo-b...

Re: UK Bank Accounts

There is a raft of advice in today's release of the government's Brexit "no-deal" papers"
I suspect that the no deal scenario that is being put forward by the government at the moment is project fear but aimed at the EU in order to get a deal.

Re: SmartyDNS

I'm not clear if your post says you prefer the USA Netflix or not. If you want to change it back to Spain or UK, it can be changed in the settings.
Sign in, go to regions, then click the Netflix off tab.

It's possible to change various websites region settings on the page.

Re: Android tv box recommendations

Fire Tv is the best. You could buy a stick but fire TV is a box. It’s an Android based box but the apps you want are built for it whereas apps for Android tend to be built for small screens.it’s also possible to download Kodi onto it. Try downloading Iplayer from Google play on your PC. That’s how I...

Have you thought about using Madrid as you center point? Easy to get to from the U.K. From there it should be possible to get to Andalucía and Barcelona by plane and high speed train. As already posted, Day trips are unadvisable due to the long distance between the main cities but in theory, it woul...
