Re: Ryanair Flights & Entering Passport Information

It is not necessary to give passport details when you buy the flight. Actually, some of my students don’t even have a passport when I buy the ticket, even though we insist they travel with one, not their DNIs if they are under 18. We don’t need to have the number etc until 2 days before because with...

Re: Ryanair Flights & Entering Passport Information

My understanding is that they always check the name.
It’s always worth going into your booking online to check you have spelt it correctly within 24 hours of making the booking as they allow you to change stuff free in the first 24 hours of the booking.

Re: Ryanair Flights & Entering Passport Information

If I'm correct, I think the point Peter is making is it's perfectly feasible to give a false name when booking the flight but it won't be possible to fly out of Spain due to the fact at some time you will need to give them the passport details. Manchesteral. The airline always ask to look at your pa...

Re: Ryanair Flights & Entering Passport Information

Easyjet also allow you to do it before. I’m not sure about BA. I have a flight booked for early December but i think it’s possible to input it earlier but you cannot check in with them until a day before. At least with Ryanair it’s impossible to forget to input the passport details Maureen, If you g...

Re: Ryanair Flights & Entering Passport Information

Imagine having to input information for 25 then. It’s not ideal but that’s what I will have to do. Remember, that this is a ploy to get people to pay for priority and early check in. You con do it 2 months before if you don’t mind paying extra. I travel often, back and forth to Gran Canaria, Mainlan...

Re: Ryanair Flights & Entering Passport Information

Giving passport information is absolutely essential and must be submitted before you fly. With EasyJet, you can input the information before you check in but with Ryanair, it can only be done when you check in. I have bought flights to Ireland in July and just this week recieved an email from Ryanai...

Re: Postal method for passport

I used to have one. I also remember the first time I popped across to France for the day on the ferry in the late seventies. I picked one up which was just for day trips

....what she means is that she has been told she must register as a resident, pay taxes, take out private health cover (not a pensioner).... You do not need to take out private health cover unless you have taken early retirement. I have always paid into the public health system here so have been en...

Re: judiciary

I would be happy that I have had no comtact with the judiciary here in Spain. Laws are a little different but there is plenty of stuff going on in the news. Specifically, the big stuff such as a kid being murdered by his dad’s girlfriend and the rape case in Navarra and don’t forget the constitution...

Re: Spanish woman attacked for Speaking Spanish in London

Well, my experience was not fake news I'm not retracting what I said happened to my students, which was actually my main point in my OP.

I was on the train and I heard the woman's words.

Re: BEST VPN

Don’t worry, you have done everything correctly because i get the same message.
The solution is to click into the SSTP tab under VPN protocol and click connect.
It is connecting fine on that and IPlayer is working.

Re: BEST VPN

SmartyDNS is a DNS so you have one already. They also have a VPN service so you get both. Iplayer is blocked but you can use their VPN device to access the BBC on computers You can download it from here https://www.smartydns.com/vpn-app/ When you have done it, tell me and I’ll post step by step inst...

Re: BEST VPN

My opinion still remains the same as before, you need to buy a dedicated tv streaming receiver and use a DNS because VPNs can slow your internet down With your laptop being a little older and not having the correct connection, the processor might not be good enough to stream video well Tell us what ...

Re: Security weirdy

The PS4 does a speed test every time I set it up which is necessary because it is usually upstairs with my son and I take it to the living room when I want to watch a match.

Re: Security weirdy

I need both
Smarty’s speeds are better especially with NowTv and Sky. I paid the same as you First so having them both isn’t a problem.
It’s a bit strange that this is a general problem with Smarty but not with the others. They must be a marked VPN company by the beeb.

Re: Where to next

Bilbao and San Sebastian are great places to visit.
It could be combined with a visit slightly inland either to the Rioja region or Pamplona.
Bilbao has great food and is a pleasant city to roam around you can visit the Guggenheim museum.

Re: FA cup on Teledeporte

It looks like it’s only the second half. Pity, Spanish TV channels are notorious for not following their timetable.
It looks like Chelsea waited for Spanish TV to score.
